Not all agents have them; not all buyers will want them, but for those that really just don't know what to do, I have prepared packets and have them available at Open Houses, or for new Clients.
I include a little information about myself and background, followed by a graphic layout of the home buying process, information on how to begin the process of becoming approved for a loan, what types of financial information will be needed, how everyone gets paid and so on. I also include a copy of all of the paper work for making the purchase and sale.
Based on my experience, first time home buyers really enjoy this. Those whom are maybe purchasing their second or third home or investors generally like to know I have it available, but are quick to understand what is needed and usually look through it quickly but elect not take it home.
I've been told that not many agents use buyer packets, or even seller packets. I'm wondering what your opinions on these items are from other agents as well as consumers?
