Blogging on the run! Blog when and where you can! Use whatever tools you have in hand! I was in a situation recently where I had to wait. Waiting is not my biggest talent but I have learned over the years I can wait patiently IF I have something productive to do while waiting.
One day recently I ended up with nothing but my trusty iPhone. I wrote a couple of posts on my iPhone and emailed them to myself. Time passed quickly and I had two posts ready to go when I got back to my office.
Back at the office I added a quick picture and a couple of links and sent them off. I did not change the fonts so what you see here are the iPhone special fonts. Not my favorite fonts, but they were handy and got the job done!
I realize there are many super techs in ActiveRain but emailing my iPhone post was the quickest way I knew to get it live. I emailed post to me, then back at the office copy and paste to draft, add a photo and links and a post was born. Nothing great about it except I wanted to get one out and I had zero time to spend writing posts. I did use a stylus in order to type faster and without making errors. My iPad was missing in action that day.
Some times keeping it simple works for me and taking my mind off the waiting was my big benefit, plus I felt like I had marked off one more thing on my to do list.
This is actually the second iPhone post I have done. Click on the link to see my first iPhone post, Calling ALL Negative Nellies & Neds. I admit that neither that first post or this one is a superior creation and certainly not the way I would want all my posts, but, hey, it got me two posts, keep me patient while waiting. Actually the first one received over 60 comments and no one knew it had been done in the palm of my hand just waiting and trying to be patient.
I have also been able to take iPhone pictures when I would not have been able to take one with my "real" camera. Anything that saves me time during this busy season is a blessing.
Has anyone else used their trusty iPhone to write your blog posts? This is not what I would want to do all the time, but using what is handy works for me and what is more handier than our trusty iPhones, pun intended!
