Well, I'm finally back to update you on the post "Overcoming Adversity, Change, and Life's Challenges" As most of you know, our family started off the New Year with quite a barrage of unfortunate events. When my wife told me that I should write a post on my Blog about the whole 3 day ordeal, being the stubborn Leo and mule that I am, I resisted! I was in too much shock and drowning in self pity to think anyone needed to know or would care. Man, was I wrong!

After finishing the post, I did feel a bit better, but when I started reading the comments from a few of you, I totally lost it and just had to walk away! It took me a while to even come back to the post, and start reading them again. Every comment, every word, every response simply made me weep! I'm not ashamed, I've been humbled! I have never experienced so much love and support from so many people I have never even met! (at least not in person) I realize now, this is NOT just my social network, this is my family.

I considered naming this the "Miracle Post." Even though I survived the first three days of the New Year, I honestly felt that I had lost all hope, and my faith was shattered. My mind was so emotionally twisted and heart so broken, that at times, I don't remember driving places, saying things, doing things etc. The entire first weekend of the New Year is but a blur for me.

I kept coming back to the post, and reading the comments. They somehow began to give me peace. Just knowing that my family and I have so many friends here who sincerely care about us, gave me a sense of security, where "In My Heart" there was none . As I found the strength to read your comments, and believe them to be true, my hope and faith began to be restored. "THAT'S A MIRACLE!" I have never been so deeply touched by so many people in all my life. Here's part of the "Life Lesson" my family and I want to share with you.

On Friday, when my position was terminated from my Company that I had given 20+ years of my life to, I was at the end of my rope. I was trying to be strong and positive, but in my heart, I was toast! I saw no light at the end of the tunnel. I was scarred and the world seemed so dark. I could barely look into the eyes of my wife and children. I felt like a failure. I really did not know what I was going to do. I have never felt so helpless, insignificant and worthless as I did this past weekend. When I read through many of the comments (180+) my spirit was renewed, and I found a strength that I just can't explain to you. It was like some kind of strange phenomenon. I used the words from your comments as my fuel, and my post as a positive source to replenish my spirit. Not sure what I would have done without them....honestly!!

So I took the advice from so many of you to be strong, have faith, look for the open doors, don't panic, believe, and just "don't give up!" Such simple words, but yet so powerful. The advice, wisdom, scriptures and life experiences in your comments should be read by any and every person going through a life change, challenge or any type of adversity. I can't tell you how many calls and emails I have received from so many people from all over the Country. Lives have been, and are being changed. I see that many have been touched, and our story is an incredible testimony to what happens when you just hang in there, weather the storms of life, and just "don't give up." Something bigger and better will happen!! It's a fact, and my family and I are living proof.

In my original post, I posed the question, "So how do you overcome adversity, change, and life's challenges? I really don't know other than to lean on GOD as our spiritual leader, and our friends and family for their love and support." Now, I am convinced that I was right. Look to and rely on God, your family, and all of your friends for support! I have learned so much from so many of you in a single post, richly loaded with comments of wisdom, love, prayer, scriptures, circumstances, trials, tribulations, and pain. You have permanently etched your names into our hearts.

On Monday morning last week, just 8 hours after being unemployed, I was hired (rescued) by one of my favorite local Title Companies here in the Bay Area called Placer Title Company. They are underwritten by Stewart Title and some others. The County Manager, Genie Branson, hired me first thing on Monday morning. She is the angel sent from above, I really truly believe that. Just after that, at 10:00am, my son Brandon had his first appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon, and was given the green light to just cast the arm, and no surgery would be necessary. It looks as though his arm may heal normally. Someday soon, he'll be back to playing his guitar and wrestling with his brothers once again.

Lastly, even with all the storms, winds, and rains that came crashing down on us over the weekend, we still survived! There was no Flooding, our home was spared! This has been one heck of a journey for the Andersohn's this year. It is a miracle, and my wife and family believe it was because of you and all your positive thoughts, comments and prayers. How could the Big Guy ignore so many people praying for us? Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!

If God has a Blog, we think ours got featured! LOL!~ When I went into Walnut Creek this week to pick up my final check, one of my dearest friends who hired me back in 1986 was standing in her doorway holding what looked like a small phone book or manual. I asked, "what is that?" She said, "It's your post from Active Rain!" She responded, "I printed out the whole thing, comments and all, so I can take it home and read it, and then share it with my husband. You should publish this in a book!" She was in tears and was very moved by the support she saw here from AR. She said she had never witnessed anything like this before, and she wanted to share it with others. I agreed! You see, your comments and support not only helped us, but now it is helping others too.

We share this whole story with you in hopes that it will bring light into your heart and soul no matter what you may be going through right now. I hope it will give you a renewed hope and faith! I don't even know how to begin to thank all of you for your love and support, your thoughts, and your prayers. We are so appreciative for the time you took to embrace our little family whose lives had been stirred into such turmoil in such a short time. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you for seeing and helping us through this. I will never take for granted all the friends and family we have here. You are the very best friends we have ever had! Thank you, we love you all :-)

One last thing I wanted to share...

I was handed a piece of paper by an employee while I was packing my boxes last week, and it has been in my pocket ever since. It reads: "Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, and Today is a gift! That's why they call it the "Present"! It's so true, and what a beautiful thing! I know this is just another chapter in our life journal and journey, and I am happy we've had the privilege and opportunity to share it with all of you. This is one we probably won't soon or ever forget. The "Lesson" and message we hope to share and give back here is, DON'T GIVE UP! My wife and I wrote and recorded this song called "In My Heart" and she has asked me to share it with all of you. I think this is her way of saying thank you and trying to weasel into my Blog! :-)

Be Blessed, and thank you ALL for just being you, we'd have you no other way! God Bless!

IN MY HEART

Brad has such a great sense of humor!!!  It's really funny how this song that was written 12 years ago suddenly came to life again.  I am truly grateful that God shows himself to us in a very powerful way, through others and through the way he takes care of us.  Believers can go their entire lives not seeing his power but still believing.  I am thankful for how blessed we are.  Trials are inevitable but when you stay positive and strong and lean not on yourself, you always make it through.  Thank you again for your many prayers and for being there for us.

Brad, awesome....just awesome! We all knew, but nice to have the validation. One door closes so another can open. It was time and just hard for so many things to have come at once. In a sense you helped all of us. I felt us all drawn closer with love and concern for you. I felt a sense of family for myself and the community as a whole. I think we all stepped out of the closet a bit and said....YES IT IS FAMILY! So happy for all your news. You have so much support from the AR members and for the reason that you are so giving and generous. It's okay to allow your lovely wife to weasel into your blog! She is a treasure! Blessings for your beautiful family and you!

Brad - I am not ashamed to admit that I had tears running down my face when I got to the end of your post.  Thanks for taking the time to update all of us on your situation.  I knew that your job situation would be resolved quickly.  I am happy to hear that your son's arm will not require more invasive treatment.  You are a good man, Brad.  God was and is with you during every step of your trials, and now you are able to affect others' lives by sharing this.  Take care and may God continue to richly bless you this year!

First off, to my wife, I want to thank you for standing by my side through the good and the bad times.  We had a rough start, and some scary moments together.  Thank you for giving me the additional strength and motivation I needed to keep pressing on toward the goal.  You are my inspiration, and my life.  You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I am the luckiest man in the world.  I hope the next time you sneak into my Blog, you'll find this comment, and know how truly much I love you!!  :-)

Brad, I am typing through my tears. How simply beautiful! I am thrilled but not surprised that Placer Title hired you before someone else did. And so glad to hear that your son does not have to endure surgery. And thank heavens you didn't have to endure any further negativity from the storm.

Hearing about the book that your colleague made of AR comments was very touching...you just never know how many people are touched from a positive statement. I hope the comments help all those that are experiencing a devastating time.

The kicker for me, while tears were streaming down my checks, was the video and song "In My heart" where two hearts collaborated making it touch others hearts. It is so wonderful to see two souls that obviously were meant for each other. Thank you for sharing a piece of you and your family with us.

You really are one lucky man! To have God in your life, a very special woman by your side, three good kids, a new job to look forward to, your health and a positive outlook...you can't beat it. I am thrilled for you and can only wish you and your beautiful family a HAPPY NEW YEAR, now!!

Thanks Brad.

Brad I am just finding this out today.  Sorry I was not there to give my encouragement but I am soo soo glad things are fixed for you and your family now.  God works fast if need, but he does what is need right on time.  You are in greats with God.

And when you have family and friends that know and believe and don't hestitate to give God the Praise for fixing things.... you can't help but win.

Hey Leo, lets celebrate together this year.  Mine is 8/2 - never you mind about the age!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joanne - yes, i felt very vulnerable sharing this part of our life in public, but I also feel the lesson to be learned by what we went through was just too good to not share with others.  Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, and for coming back to check in on us.  My wife and I are glad you enjoyed the song and video.  It took us most of the night and morning to do.  :-)

We are so happy how things turned out!  We're truly blessed!

Jeanean - One door slammed!!  and another door immediately opened!  I was unemployed for only 8 hours.  I still can't believe it!!  I feel like I was shoved off the Titanic, then picked up by a life saving Yacht!   The sense of family and pouring out of love and prayers here is so unbelievable.  You can't just tell somebody about it, they have to read it for themselves.  "Thank you" are two words that just don't seem to cut it when it comes to what I'd like to say to you and ALL the others here!  That's why I had to write this post.  We hope it shows if even only a tiny fraction, of how much our family appreciates this family.

Now I can say....sincerely,  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!   Let's Celebrate!!

I, too, have been waiting and hoping that you would post good news soon.  I'm so thrilled that things worked out for you.  I knew they would - you are far too valuable for someone to not scoop you up in a heartbeat and use your talents in their business!  I'm sure you questioned that for a while (or, 8 hours!) but we all knew it.

As for the wonderful support here on AR, I know exactly what you mean as I have experienced it firsthand when I had a family emergency.  The prayers, emails and support where overwhelming, and helped me through a very difficult time knowing that complete strangers were concerned and praying for me.  The world is not as big as we think it is - through the internet we all get to hold hande, pray and cry together.

Now, go knock their socks off at the new job!

Brad, I am so impressed by your expressions of your feelings, your trials, and your vulnerability through this struggle. The song? Well........big lump time in the throat - AND the words, the voice, the music, it was amazing. I had to hold back the tears but love your story and that of your wife.

How we must treasure and appreciate our lives and our families. We will be - inevitably - given trials and challenges. Just never more than we can handle! Your testimony has been enriched and strengthened through this one. Your example is as a light to all of us.

Hopefully you have had that song recorded and sold! You are both very talented. Is that your wife who sang? She has a spectacular voice!

So glad to hear things worked out the way they have.

It is such a wonderful feeling to have all the friends in the world isn't it? I'm glad to hear that you and your family are doing great after a rough start to the new year. There is a wonderful quote that I am reminded of.

"God put your eyes in the front of your head for a reason; So we can see what is ahead of us and who is beside us to accompany us in life. If he would have wanted us to see what is behind us, that is where our eyes would be."

Good luck in your new job and keep us updated with your new numbers and e-mail!

Brad is outside cleaning up the yard and getting rid of the sandbags that we didn't need and I thought maybe I would sneak on his computer so I could weasel in on his blog...LOL!!!

There was a question as to whether I sang the song and yes, I did.

For those of you who don't know, Brad is a very talented guitar player and we write and record together.  "In my heart was recorded 12 years ago but we found it to be perfect for the present.  I am encouraging my husband to give more time to his TRUE gift...music!

Hey all, I'm back!

I just got a call from Dan Forbes while I was out cleaning up the sand bags and yard.  I won't go into details, but please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.  He too is going through adversity, change, and life's challenges right now.

I told Dan to go back to my original post to find some answers and to help build his hope and faith!  I know from our personal experience how hard it is to be in the center of KAOS and think that everything will be ok.

Everything will be ok Dan.

Your family and friends are here to lean on!  If there is anything my family can do for yours, I know you have my number, and you are always welcome to use it.... anytime.  We're here for you.  It was nice talking with you on the phone, I know everything will all work out.  Have Faith!

Look not unto your own understanding, but to the one who IS understanding!     :-)

Brad & Debra, We are so proud of you both, for  your sharing, your spirit, your tenacity and your faith in God and letting Him lead in your lives.  You are indeed blessed with wonderful talents (of course, we could be just a little prejudiced), as shown in the comments in AR.  We too want to thank all those wonderful friends who sent you best wishes, good thoughts and most of all, their prayers to support you.  Our prayers were with you, as I'm sure you know, and God answered us all in a fast, positive way.  Greatest thanks to Him.  Aloha nui loa.  Dad and Mom

Hi Brad and Debra - just awesome to hear how things have gone for you since that start to your year.  Good things really do happen to good people - this is proof.  Placer Title knew a great thing when they heard you were available, and look how they snatched you right up after only 8 hours - CONGRATS on that!

So glad to see you back in this post.  And I hope we get more of your musical gift.  Missy mentioned hearing you on your other blogs - I'm going to have to go find some more of your music.  Just beautiful!!

Warm wishes to all of you!

Brad & Debra - The first thing I would do every time I got on AR since the 5th . . . is to check out whether or not you were back in the rain.  I'm so happy for you and your family.

My daughter walked in and asked me why I was crying.  I told her that I was happy.  You were given so much support, things turned "right", and you took the time to once again share your life with everyone.  But that wasn't the end of it.  You GAVE so much in your song and were so inspirational.

You're remarkable!

Your year will continue in happiness!!

Brad and Debra - I am thrilled to learn that the sun is once again shining on the Andersohn household.  I knew it would.  There is something to the power of prayer, and believe me - there were some truly emotion packed prayers being sent heavenward on your behalf.

The song and video are beautiful.  It's truly amazing to 'know' folks that are as talented as you two.

It's also a blessing that your son does not require surgery and that he will be on the road back to 'teenage-dom' (is that a word?) soon.

Isn't it great to have such a huge family?  Imagine what it would look like at an AR Family Reunion?  Yikes!  It would have to be held at Wrigley Field!

Many blessings and much love to you and yours.  All of us have our phone numbers posted and I'm sure I'm not overstepping when I say ... anytime you want/need to use them - DO.

Many hugs and smiles to you all.

Dear Brad,

God is so faithful...even when we are not. That is the greatest lesson/truth I've learned in my life. Like Jason, tears are streaming down my cheeks. The song is beautiful...so fitting. I just want to wrap my arms around your family and rejoice with you.

As I was reading and looking at the faces of your children, I had to stop and think about how God just planted something incredible in them through this experience...seeds that will grow into something amazing. To have a mother and father who trust God...live out their faith...in the good times and the bad...they are so very blessed.

May God continue to manifest His great love for you and your family! :-)

Brad, I am so happy for you!  I have prayed for you and thought about you often this past week.  I have been "weathering a storm" much like yours this week.  I have just given me total confirmation that I am headed in the right direction.  What I have been clinging to this week is a little sticky note that I put on a co-worker's desk three years ago that said, "He may not take around hard times but He will always take you through them."  She has kept that little note for three years and this week I was touched when she re-gifted it back to me.  It helped me tremendously...and so has your post.  You are a great guy and I am thrilled for you.

We are at Scandia right now and my son is playing laser tag with 6 of his friends from high school. He is having such a great 16th birthday party, it's not what we ever expected just days ago. We are headed for pizza next, then it's back to the house for ice cream cake. I am having more fun than one person should be allowed to have with my family tonight. I'm looking forward to reading all these comments when we get home. My new TREO works great, but the font is too small to read them all from here. ;-)

Brad,

I just read the comment you made about your wife and it choked me up.  How could God help but bless a man that speaks that way about his spouse?

I feel rotten that I somehow missed your previous post telling of your trials.  I would have sent up prayers for you, but it looks like the AR family covered you.

When I started to read this post I knew even before I got to the part that told of your new hire that you were going to be blessed. In 1989, my husband and I stood in front of our house, waiting for the fire department to show up because it was on fire, we had lost our business the day before, and my husband had his arm almost ripped off ealier that morning in an accident and had it in a cast and was high on painkillers.  We looked toward heaven and thanked God we were all alive and told God we were listening.  It took awhile to see His hand and leading but not too long.  Our lives went in an entirely new direction and what blessings.

God indeed works in mysterious ways,

Brad - I am not ashamed to admit that I had tears running down my face when I got to the end of your post.  Thanks for taking the time to update all of us on your situation.  I knew that your job situation would be resolved quickly.  I am happy to hear that your son's arm will not require more invasive treatment.  You are a good man, Brad.  God was and is with you during every step of your trials, and now you are able to affect others' lives by sharing this.  Take care and may God continue to richly bless you this year!

Jason - my dear friend!  I've had the tears before, during, and after the post!  Now they're tears of Joy and total dismay.  I cannot believe all that has happened in just a matter of a few days!  The rational part of me says this whole story is impossible and must have been a dream.

My favorite poem is "Footprints" and I guess all this had to happen in order to take me back to the basics.  Humbled, Broken, and looking down at the single set of prints in the sand.  If you have not seen the poem, it's a great one, you should read it.

Thanks for your wishes, support, thoughts and prayers.  It's those thoughts and prayers that helped us through, and it's the only reason why I am able to write about it today!  Be Blessed this year and always!!  :-)

Brad, Roger and I have been praying for you every night. In my heart I felt for sure God would come through on that job interview. Roger asked me again this afternoon, what happened with Brad, did he get the job? I said I haven't heard anything, But I am sure he did, I'll check the blogs when we get home"

.. And sure enough God came through ...again!

There is a scripture one of our most favorites ROMANS 8:28. "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. " Your trial has provided so many good things! And your testimoy has blessed so many!

The song, the vidoe and Deborah's voice are beautiful! What a blessing to have that talent! You will probably be inspired to write another about how the Lord came through for you!

BTW Your trial was the inspiration for a post I did:  From My Heart to Yours a Message of Hope. There is a beautiful You Tube video in there..  lifts me to the heavens every time. Take a listen when you get a chance

Mike - you are all an inspiration to me as well.  I will not be tainted by the "burn" from First American Title.  Even after all the years I dedicated and committed to them, I plan to do the same for my new company.

Placer Title Company is a fantastic group of people that really care about their employees and their customers.

I will give them my very best, and already feel very at home with my new TEAM.   In a time where business has shifted and the market has swung left, they have the same confidence in me, that I have in them to make it happen this year.

We don't care about the market, because we are going to go out and create our own. It's going to be a great career and year for me at my New Found Home, Placer Title Company.  If you have any transactions you need closed from the PTC  (People That Care), just let me know.  I can make things happen for you and your clients.  We have contacts and operations or underwriters all over the country.

We are Big enough to make a difference, but small enough to be personal and still care!!

Brad and Debra,

Don't know how I missed this whole thing, read both posts all the way through tonight and I'm quite moved so this may be a long comment.

Your first post made me think of a long time ago when I was no longer with a company that I loved and had poured out my heart to support.  Huge shock, feelings of loss, fear, betrayal and why and how?   The change led to a move across the state to a much large city.    The long term blessing was when my wife got sick and we were exactly where we needed to be for huge medical care.  Without the job change we would have been in the wrong place.   God knew then and I understand and am again grateful now.

Just ran out of tears long enough to type this out.  I am not the least bit surprised that God has blessed you with such a Godly wife.  He takes care of us guys whether we appreciate it at the time, his Grace is amazing.   Her voice is beautiful.  What an beautiful and elegant testimony is your story and your song.  Who knew when you guys put that together years ago it would be so important to you in 2008.

Thanks for sharing this emotional and personal part of your life, so the rest of us could be blessed by praying for your entire family.  And isn't it great that kids arms are breakable but the great spirit of youth lives on.    We'll be at church tomorrow and I will have couple of thoughts and thanks for you.

Praise GOD from WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW. Sometimes HE has to yank us out of our comfort zones in order to place us on the paths HE HAS for us. I was laid off 2 years ago and believe me I too was in shock. Unless this has ever happened to you, you cannot understand how terrible you feel. You do feel like a failure BUT we are not. We are more than conquerors through HIM. It was that lay off that moved me in the the direction of starting my own company. I even wrote my boss a thank you letter for laying me off. He hired me to decorate an event he was having. Funny how things work out.

I am soooooo happy that your life is filled with PEACE and JOY, God Bless

This is wonderful news, Brad.  I'm so glad you weren't in limbo any longer than those eight hours (that probably seemed like 800 hours!).  We have a favorite quote in our family that I think fits the moment -

This day is mine.  It is unique.  Noone else in the world has one exactly like it.  It is the sum of all my past experiences and all my future potential.

This past week's turmoil will always be part of your past experiences and help shape your future potential.  And that is what makes us each unique.  In our family, we find that this quote really helps put everything that happens to us in perspective.  I hope you find it reassuring, as you move forward into all that future potential!

Congrats on all counts - the job, flood that never was, and quick healing of your son.

Well I have to say, as long as I have been a member here, my wife has never commented on my Blog or in my posts until now.  With the new job and all that goes with change, I have been unable to get back here to comment as much and often as I had planned.  Now I see my mother has been here and commented as well.

I had no idea all the things I'd have to take care of in making a career change to a new company.  I have to say that I am totally thrilled with my new job at Placer Title.  They are my new family, and I feel very welcomed and well received.  The staff is great, the sales team is superior, and my boss freakin rocks!  It is such a different environment than I am used to.  I need to decompress, so I am taking my wife to Monterey this weekend and my Mom is coming by to watch the boys!  (Thanks Mom) :-)

I am going to print this post and my original post and bring it with me to read again with my wife.  We are both so touched by all the support and comments we have received.  The emails and cards and phone calls have just flooded our lives and blessed us more than you will ever know.  I am really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things, but this time, not into a comfort zone.

Thanks to all of you for everything, it means so much us!!  God Bless!!  :-)

 Dear Brad and Family,

I just heard of the difficulties and the trials you and your family have been engaged in. Although, the New Year is in its infancy, you have definitely had your share of challenges. I pray that all thing continue to work together for you. I can see already that the storms in your life are beginning to pass over. I see the sun is starting to shine for you and God is handling the circumstances in your lives. Even though you could not see the solution to the problems at the time, slowly the fog is lifting.

I wish you all the faith, courage and strength during this transition in your life. Everyday you rise just consider the alternatives and know you are truly blessed.

May God continue to bless you and keep you and yours in his care. I will keep you in my prayers.

 Warmest regards

Woo Hoo!!  I was waiting for this post and just logged on for the first time in a week.  My wife asked me why I hollered out loud.  I said because someone I don't know and never met, but rely on as a trusted voice, who gives freely of his wisdom has received a much deserved miracle.  I will continue to keep your son in my prayers, hopeful that his arm heals completely.  Wonderful News!

Brad,

I am thankful for the presence that God gave you during this series of ordeals.  I can't wait to read what God has in store for you in the next step He's taken you to.  Our sermon last Sunday at church was on Daniel 3... and that sometimes God doesn't rescue you FROM the fire, but He will, most assuradely meet you IN the fire.

What a wonderful testimony.

Wow Brad- what a journey you have been going through. I had been going through some fires of my own over the last few weeks and am just now reading your posts. The song you and your wife recorded is just beautiful and touched my heart. Isn't it just wonderful how God opens new doors when others are shut? What an asset you will be to your new company! Not just for your talents but for your spirit and character.

The sun is shining and the Universe is back in alignment. Makes one appreciate what you have even when you think you know.

Perhaps Brad the challenge wasn't just for you and Debra, but for all of us. Through your adversity and triumph, you have shared a message to hundreds that will be shared with thousands in our daily lives. I plan on speaking of this. And I am sure others have also.

We are all very human and can become overwhelmed. But truly your faith, tested, and maybe shaken, was never broken. Thank you for reminding us to 'Keep the Faith'. More than just a nice quote when you really have to use it.

NOW...GO GET 'EM!!

Hi Brad

Great to read the sequel to the first!!! I do believe in this day and age we should have more than one income stream as you never know when someone will fire you or lay you off anymore. Have you ever thought of writing e books in the internet or something along those lines to help people start blogging? It would a second income stream and you could be an escrow agent for fun!!!!

Hi Brad,Just read this for the first time.  Since I just started 2 month ago,  I have missed a lot of things. I can say I don't know why you are surprise with the outpouring of love, care and support for you over your trying times.  Brad,  you are getting back, those same qualities you posses. The first few minutes I  was on AR I knew the kind of person you were.  You truly give of yourself to everyone, and on AR there are some of the most caring, giving people imaginable and my friend,  I am sure you are one of the ones at the very top.

Your post and beautiful song brought tears to my eyes also.  My husband also went through that after 19 years 3 months ---9 month short of a pension.....that's OK...God has a way of fixing things up...

Out of every bad thing that happens ...God makes something good come out of it.  The one good thing that came out of this is that ....just maybe you realize...we love you, appreciate you and are so glad your are in this family.  Please tell your wife ...she has the voice of as angel.

PS it's funny...just when I decide, I think, I will just give this blogging up...I run across a post like this.

God's blessings to you and  your beautiful family

June - I needed that!  Not just the comment, but the reminder of these moments that took place in my life.  I just spent the last 40 minutes sitting here reading my own post, all these comments from the dearest friends in the world, and balling my eyes out like a baby.

Oh my gosh, I had forgotten about all of this and buried it so deep that I was just flooded with emotions right now.  This was good for me tonight.  This post has sat dormant in the dark now since 2/8/08.  It's not just a coincidence that you found it and commented.

Thank you so much for your very kind and thoughtful words, but even more than that, thanks for helping to put me back into that humbled state where often times we just need to be.  What you have done for me tonight is nothing short of a spectacular miracle.

I have been truly moved and inspired once again from all these wonderful friends and even my own post.  How cool is that!  God Bless you for being an angel in my path today!!  :-)))

Hi Brad, I am sorry I brought up those emotions but if that is what was needed ..so be it..now I am crying,  because someday , if I ever get the courage, I will share with you why, how, and why I have to stay ( even though it is overwhelming and disturbing at times)  in Active Rain.  When you said it wasn't a coincidence that I found that post, after all those months...well, that is just the confirmation I have been searching for.  I guess you are an Angel in my path also   There's a lot more going on in AR than I think anyone realizes     God bless you & your family

9:27pm • #152

June - no apologies please. I needed that today.  Sometimes the greatest blessings can come from the things we notice least, like a blog post or a person.  I would love for you to share your story sometime when you feel comfortable and the time is right.

I have been into the deepest and darkest canyons of AR and I have been on the mountain tops as well.  I have seen and heard things that not many members are even aware of that have taken place here both good and bad. I'm pretty intuned to what happens on the network.  I read hundreds of posts every day and see nearly everything that comes through this place, there's not much you could tell me that would surprise me. I love being a community builder here.

My door is always open and my ear is here when and if you need.  Seems destiny would have it that our paths would cross today, and two people having never met could help each other out in some small but special and significant way.  Thanks June, it really meant a lot to me having this little chat with you today!  ActiveBrad :-)

Thanks Brad That means so much...I do want to say, when I said there is a lot going on that people don't realize,  I meant in a spiritual way.  I just know that the Lord will use this network in a very powerful way.

In fact you can see it immediately.  He has gifted goodness to the members through caring, sharing

people who continually share and give what it must seem, like a task that will never end. Goodness comes from goodness. God will truly bless that,  as for the  deepest darkest  parts....God will shine the light. I know you are no doubt the busiest member in AR and I so appreciate your comments.  Thanks so much.

10:16pm • #154

June - I think people realize more than you may think here.  Anyone who reads this post for example and these comments will see that there is hope, faith, and a glimmering light that shines on this place.  It's not just the netork, the blogs or the internet, it's "the people" like you that make this place truly amazing.

No people, No ActiveRain, and with no rain, there's no life.  Have yourself a blessed and wonderful evening full of peace and joy!  ;-)

Never, never, never give up. I have enjoyed reading all of the words of wisdom.

I did hear on the radio yesterday that sometimes we have to be put in a situation in order to make a move that we should have made some time ago. We become complacent with our lives the way they are . We continue to stay in a bad situation because we are familure with our surroundings.

That is exactley where I was. The business was going away at the company where I worked, but hated to leave and w as afraid if the unknown. God has blessed me so much with my new job at First State Mortgage. The people are friendly and the staff is more knowledgeable and I am closing more loans. It is true --no rain no life.
