A Bit of Country, very Close to the City
I had to take a bit of a detour this morning on my way back from the golf course in Watertown CT, and came accross a small pasture that that was just so out of character for the area.
Some wanna-be farmer had livestock all grazing around a small pond.

Ther were at least a dozen steers, a long weay from the plains of the West.

There were some emu's also a long way fron their natural habitat.

This llama seemed to be giving me the raspberry.

The younger bull was getting too close to a cow and the bigger fellow came over and the boys mixed it up a bit.
In addition to these animals, there were goats, geese, ducks, some young calves and a donkey. People come by regularly to view the animals and to feed them as the owner had trash pails set yo for the bags that food was delivered in.
A little bit of Country near the City.

Hi Ed - Wow! That is a little bit of country! I hope you are having a nice weekend!
Ed, I sure wouldn't have expected this in Connecticut. Love the photos.
I love a little bit of country..... of course, I was country before country was cool ;-) Great find, love the pictures!
Looks like a lot of country very close to the city if you ask me Ed..............wow!
Ed, Looks like they decided to bring country living to them. At the bottom of my subdivision there arr two farms and it gives us the feeling that we are out in the country much more than we are. It is fun to continually see the kids in the area stopping to pet some of the animals, especially the horses.
Ed!!! I love it!!! I will have to find my way over there someday to feed these critters. And you know how much I love cows....
Hope you had a very spectacular Father's Day!
Hi Ed. Looks like you got pretty close to those guys! I hope you had a great game too!

Looks like you were at a petting zoo Ed! That Llama does look like he's giving you a raspberry!
