Great blog Janis!! of course I suggested it. And this is a great way for us to all connect and gain back links from each other. It also is a good way to learn more about each other from our website and are off sites blogs. Of course we all have to deal with spam once in a while but when we know the people its much easier to approve the comment. BTW, here is my link to my first word press blog. http://kathydellanebbia.wordpress.com/ The account was set up for me ages ago but I never used it. I'm starting now and the more I learn the more there is to know.
Susanna, I'll share what I find out. So far the best tidbit is that you can go into "applications" on Linkedin and add the word press application. This will allow for your blog to show on your Linkedin profile. I did it and it as easy. Just check all the tabs across the top of your profile until you find the one that says "applications". Near the end of the tabs if I remember correctly.

Yes it is a great suggestion from Tammy. BTW, when I clicked on Tammy and Chris Ann's links I got no where but Jamie's worked so I don't know if it's at my end but you might want to check your links. I look forward to more research and info.

However, the key is getting comments on Do Follow blogs...most WP sites are not Do follow (unless someone has added in the do follow plugin).

a few are no longer active, but most are good.
Debbie, the link that attaches the name with the URL is follow cause it shows up on back links.. but you're right.. IN the post itself is often a no follow. Good call. :)
If you use FireFox as your browser you can download one of many free add-ons that will show you if a site has do-follow turned on. The add-on we use is Mozbar by Seomoz.
Tammy - Usually, IN the post, the links are follow and then the comments are NO FOLLOW (unless someone has installed the plugin). And, yes, they do show up in the backlinks...but as no follow. You can often see this in linkdiagnosis.com. On the link I provided above, those are blogs where they authors claimed the blog comment links are follow. However, not all them are (but most are).
Anita - Yes, I'm going to try that again...I always seem to have issues get that to work as well as understanding it. Someday...maybe.
Thanks everyone for the links.. I was out of commission today for the most part today.. and now i'm swamped with work.. Root Canal is everything that you can imagine and more..OUCH! . so I was out of sorts.. Meanwhile..
