Shout Out Yourself EVERYWHERE

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

MegaphoneI had this discussion with another blogger of whether for him to stop blogging or not. I think it extends to Social Media as well and should we participate in as many as possible or limit it to one? I think from a businessperson perspective

Shout Out Yourself EVERYWHERE!!!

It is not that we have time for all of them but you can set up profiles on at least 80% of them, have your favorite where you like to go most of the time but occasionally have activity, some kind of conversation on the others as well. Why you ask? Cause of your audience.

Your "network", your possible future business might be where you are not at, so it helps to let them know LOUDLY with a connection you are alive and kicking!!!

The issue for me is that I really want to master all of them and I am discovering that that is very difficult.  Essentially, I do what you have said:  concentrate right here and occasionally visit other sites, check in, etc.

It's more of a "jack-of-all-trades" philosphy, I guess.

I am working to master many... but not all at once. Getting it right is a good idea too.. If you are doing things wrong it can work against you. I have worked hard at making progress, but I think that it has proven to make me more visible and i'm getting traction in return... Yes.. being EVERYWHERE is a great idea!.. but not sloppy.. as that reflects on your presence too.

Gary, this reminds me of a conversation I just had with a seller who is currently FSBO and wanted me to explain about my marketing and how it would be an improvement over what he currently is doing. After I told him all of the places I blog, market, etc., it's as if the lightbulb went on! He really understood why going from a 3% courtesy to broker fee isn't getting him as much exposure as 5% marketing fee would be in hiring ME!

(Plus, he thought he was already on RMLS, for the $200 he paid to some FSBO service, but I showed him that he's not on there--ANYWHERE--another AHA moment for him.)

Gary - blogging is what put my name on the Google Search map for Real Estate, prior to that it was always my former career in broadcasting. But, what I really like is that in most of the areas where home buyers are likely to search - they can now find me somewhere on the first page of the search. I'm still working to get the top spot below the paid ads. It's tough to compete with some of the larger franchises who have full time internet marketing folks working on their behalf.

You have to continue to let people know that you are in the business.  They jsut don't remember or they will avoid working with you if they don't hear enough.
