Last weekend I sparked some debate with my blog What Happens When a HOME is ABANDONED?  I got some intersting emails about the pros and cons of the Foreclosure crisis. To be clear i am not weighing in on either side but want to show you the condition of some of my new listings. One person asked why I was complaining and get me, I am not complaining as the worst the condition the more the investors LOVE these types of homes.

If you ever wondered what happens when someone abandons their home in New Hampshireor anywhere in the US you see a home with an over grown lawn? or ask yourself Why did they leave? What will happen with this home? Well... In the last months Banks have sure stepped up the Foreclosure process on abandoned home. Most people wonder but not many people get to see inside. As a Leading Listing Agent of Bank Owned homes here in the Manchester NH area I am one of those lucky ones.

Home Owners, if you find yourself behind in your mortgage, walking away is not the answer as you are still responsible until the bank takes possession. There is help and it is easy as picking up the phone. You can sell it through a short sale and get cash and assistance to relocate. You can lessen the impact on your credit and help yourself to move forward. If you are in NH, you can also call me, i can walk through the options with you and assist you you in any way I can.

Give up? it is a burn out mark on the carpet from dirt bike they drove around the inside of the home. Upper right is the oil stain where it was laying down.

I missed the debate from last week. Curious as to what the debate was about.

Bill basically who is to blame for foreclosure crisis. It was unique in that comments were emailed instead of posted for all to see. The purpose of my blog is to let home owners know they have a choice other than just abandoning their homes.

Scott -- you show what happens when they are abandoned -- and give the owners some options.  That is why you are succeeding in your market.

Those are some nasty places Scott, riding the dirt bike in the house is a great indicator of the lack of pride of ownership folks have when they decide to abandon their home.

Hi Scott,

I'm a newer real estate agent in the Washington DC metro area and I've come across more than a few abandoned homes and since it seems like you have a handle on the subject, I was wondering if you had any tips on how a realtor can list an abandoned home for sale?

Thanks
