Kerrie, have a wonderful vacation. If you get a chance, go to The Big Island and enjoy the incredible lava beaches and volcanoes! I love Hawaii and you will definitely appreciate the entire package!
Thanks for all the well wishes guys!! I'm sooo ready!!!
Kerrie~my hubby and I have been to Maui a few times, got married on Ulua Beach near Wailea at sunset. It was a PERFECT wedding! There is a day-trip for snorkeling and possible dolphin sighting/ swimming out of Lahaina, I believe. It takes you to Lanai?, the same island that Bill Gates "rented" to get married. You go on a catamaran (sp?) so COOL. (Mary Elizabeth mentioned it, sorry--well, now you have TWO who recommend it).
Upcountry, there is an incredible garden to visit with all kinds of tropical plants. Fabulous--can't recall the name, sorry.
We never made it up to the mountain, I guess you go very early in the AM and it can be really cold, then warms up later.
It is one of our favorite places on EARTH. Very expensive for the people who live there...most have more than one job from what I recall. So, TIP GENEROUSLY!!
Congrats on your engagement, too. If you need to know more about how to do a wedding package (easy/peasy), I have a great contact for a female minister and we incorporated many Hawaiin traditions into our ceremony...even had a harpist on the beach and it wasn't exhorbitantly expensive.
Don't miss the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui. Kind of corny, but all part of the experience, and this is the best of the islands. Drink a "Lava Flow". I also agree that you should get out on a boat trip (I like the one up the Napili Coast) and for easy snorkeling without a boat, try Airport Beach in Ka'anapali. We spend a lot of time on Maui as my parents have a home there. Have a wonderful time!

Have a wonderful time but I know you will still be thinking about us just a wee bit. Each one of your photos is cuter than the next!

Late to this party! First of all, fabulous new photo, I love it. Second.............congratulations on your engagement. Last but not least, have a wonderful time on your vacation! Hawaii is a dream of mine..........some day!
So I hate you . But wish you all the best and look forward to seeing Hawii pictures , which will make me hate you even more. No really have a great time and best wishes on your engagement
BEAUTIFUL! I hope you have an incredible time (know you will!) - and tell us all about it when you return!
Ive never been to Hawaii. I'll be there eventually. Enjoy yourself!
Sounds like an amazing vacation, you can't go wrong with white sand, blue water and lots of sunshine.
Wow! Lots of new and news... New profile pic, which by the way, is REALLY gorgeous. New announcement of the engagement news, and news that you're leaving us.. well for a short time. Have fun!
Kerri, hope Hawaii is being everything you expected it to be, and if you happen to see Sally Cheeseman give her a hug for me :)
Did you get to visit Georgina or Sally while you were out in the islands? Great new profile photo!
Kerrie, I hope you had as much fun as I did the last 10 days in Maui!
That new picture is stunning. Congrats on everything.
Hi Kerrie,
When do we get to see your Hawaii photos? I have been many places in the world but never to Hawaii. I want to go and cruise the islands. I think that would be so much fun so next year I am going to do it. It is on my bucket list. Plus my father-in-law who just passed was a Pearl Harbor Survivor so it will mean so much to me to see the Arizona. Luckily he was in a building on the base and not physically on the Arizona.
Post some Hawaii photos! Please. Do you have a new photo?
Congrats Kerrie, I saw the beautiful photos on Facebook. Hope it was as romantic and spectacular as it looked...welcome home.
I guess you are back home! I hope you had a great time and enjoyed the break. We went to the main island ones and I want to go and see more but it is way too far. Mexico is only 2 hs away from Houston and that is pretty much our any destination now because we don't really want to waste a day traveling somewhere else.
Kerrie - I hope Hawaii was all you imagined it to be. I have made 4 trips to the islands, and each experience has been different from the other. I absolutely love the place. It's been awhile since I have returned. I hope to do that this coming winter.
Hi Kerrie. Hope you two had fun. I was born and raised in Hawai'i. Just recently did the Legislature pass a law which allows for civil unions so if you two do get married on Maui in the future I wish you all the best !
