InspectionWorld in New Orleans Jan 16-19

Just around the corner is InspectionWorld .  All ASHI folks should know about IW as it is ASHI's annual educational conference.  This year it is being held in New Orleans, LA.  Low price airfare make it easy to fly into New Orleans.  Hotels range from the $70's to as high as you want in the Downtown and French Quarter area.  The Hilton Riverwalk Hotel is the site for the conference.

It is not too late to sign up.  Many come for just a day if they can't fit the three days into their schedule.  I will be at the entire conference as I need the hours for my state licenses that I hold.  The education is approved for all of the states that require CE for your home inspector license.

I hope to see many of you at the conference, at last count I think they are expecting around 500 home inspectors.  It won't be the largest by far for IW, but that also means that the class rooms won't have people standing along the walls with no seats.

It was a good conference.  Food was everywhere at the conference and the best thing is that it was FREE!  I think I only bought two meals over the week.

I obtained the hours I needed for my license and as usual I learned some valuable information.  Every time I go to an educational conference I come away with some new knowledge about the profession.  I would say that they had about 600 home inspectors in attendance, just the right size to not be overly crowded.

The bad thing is that I came home sick as a dog!  I haven't had a bad cold in a couple of years, and it's not any fun!

Scott, thanks for posting this to encourage folks to come.  I know it was a hard cost decision.  However, it really came down to an investment decision, one well worth it.  Yeah, the offset meal and drink costs helped a lot.

It was a good conference, professionally done as always.  The courses were good with a wealth of information.  The other benefit is the great new contacts of inspectors from around the country and our information exchange..invaluable.

 Until next year!
