Firework Displays in and around Clark County, WA

Fireworks Displays It's that time of year again - Boom! The Firework displays in and around Clark County, WA offer residents many different options. Let's start with the big one, Fort Vancouver. After 48 years, the venue has changed a bit, both in terms of where the fireworks are launched, and the size of the display.

However, many residents from the area, including Portlanders, loyally attend Fort Vancouver's Independence Day celebration. Participants spend the day enjoying live entertainment, food and games on the lawns of historic Fort Vancouver. Then, at approximately 10 PM the light show begins.

Organizers use state of the art fireworks synchronized to patriotic musical selections - the result is memerizing. The fireworks are now launched from Pearson Field, instead of from a barge on the Columbia River, which makes it more difficult to see the display if you're not a ticket holder to the event.

Speaking of tickets, they sell for $5 dollars in advance, and $7 at the gate. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free, helping make it more affordable for Clark County families. ( Purchase online here ) Or, if you've got money to spare, you may want to splurge for the Prime Viewing admission.

Prime Viewing tickets sell for $50 for adults (21 and older) and for $25 to those under the age of 21. Prime Viewing tickets includes dinner, an exclusive entertainment stage, adult beverage access (21 and older), and the best views of the Fort Vancouver Fireworks Display.  (Purchase online here)

There is nothing more exciting then fireworks, especially timed to music.

Have had the opportunity to see them over the nations capital, the Art Museum in Philly, world contest of fireworks in Tarragonia Spain, Hawaii celebrating anniversay of statehood, etc etc.

BOom

Firework displays in and around Clark County, WA sounds like a great way to safely celebrate with fireworks.  Fireworks are banned in our area now due to the drought and so many NM wildfires.  May the good Lord will send Rain before July and we can enjoy a big city fireworks celebration.

Girlfriend, you totally took me back several years to when I used to travel to Vancouver for the fireworks--wow I had TOTALLY FORGOTTEN. Jenna used to have BIG problems with it. Since we moved here to our place, we would simply go upstairs and enjoy a movie so that she wouldn't get so rattled. The hard part was after (and even before) the big 4th, people would light them and she'd be out in the doggie den and scratch up the wood trying to get inside the house, away from it. (So sad...I miss her).

I used to LOVE the fireworks display at the Thousand Islands over the water of the St. Lawrence River--excellent display and right out our front window of our cottage.

(I'll call ya later).

Hi Debb.   Everyone is always scrambling to find out where and when the fireworks are going to be going off.  Great idea to help them out!

Debb, When we lived in Napa, we used to go upstairs to the master bathroom, sit on the bathtub ledge, open the window, and watch the fire works zooming up from the valley floor from our hilltop. I prefer small venues. A

Q-man, I wish we could send some of our damp weather your way. Seems like extremes, once again rule the weather patterns.

Gayle, I know, it did used to be a big deal for all of us. Just a bit of trivia, one year when I worked at KGW, I got to put together the songs for big show. It was fun to watch the fireworks and know each song that was going to come up next. :)
