There willl be 12,000 yellow rubber ducks floating down the Stones River at 4:23 p.m on Saturday, June 23 at the Sportsman’s Club in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Spectators will line up on the bridge and watch the ducks float down the river.
People buy ducks for $5 each in order to have a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000 as well as 15 other prizes valued over at $20,000. All the money goes to the nonprofit Child Advocacy Center in Rutherford and Cannon counties, which has helped 7,500 sexually abused and endangered children in the last 12 years.
The free Family Fun Fest Starts the race at 2 p.m., including games for children and a Wing off to crown the King of the chicken Wings at 3:30 p.m.
Also, volunteers will be washing 12,000 ducks and then tag the ducks with id numbers during a Duck Tagging Party at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at the Child Advocacy Center.
