Synthetic Turf

Grass that looks real with no maintenance? Sounds too good to be true! How often do you get a letter from your homeowners association regarding the condition of your lawn. Recently friends of ours took out their old lawn and laid down a new - synthetic turf lawn. They love it! No mowing, no watering = conserves valuable water and no mud, no weeds, GREEN all year round, and your pets will still use it! It looks AND feels like real grass! Years ago when "AstroTurf" was the only option, I would not have thought this was such a good idea. But now the synthetic turf looks so real, you can drive through a neighborhood and not tell a difference between the real grass and the synthetic turf - unless your real grass is dead. :)

Have a client that just cant keep their lawn kept up? Is it causing negative feedback from buyers and showing agents? Maybe this is their solution!

I've seen it and felt it. Great stuff! Best of all it looks great infront of a house in the desert!

Is this the same stuff that can grow on concrete? or is it actually synthetic?

Matt - it is actually synthetic. Looks and feels real though. What is the stuff that grows on concrete? I am not familiar with that

Can you provide the brand name of the sythetic grass you are talking about? I have seen some on TV but not in person. Some of it does look realistic but there are other brands that look a very poor imitation of grass. Thanks for the idea!

Makes a lot of since for any community that has a shortage of water. The no maintenance factor is a big plus too.

I am not sure what type our friend used, but I have heard good things about the above two.
