Margaret and Dan Byfield have created memories on their 40-acre Georgetown ranch. It was where they and their four children became a family at their wedding in 2003, a year after they bought the land. Construction on the house finished the following year.
The property is also where the Byfields work. They have offices in the guesthouse. They run a nonprofit agency, American Stewards of Liberty, which helps rural landowners across the country protect private property rights.
