Please don’t blame the property owner/managers! "They have not caused the economic & credit problems some renters face".

I have a business to run, I have to make sure I can pay the mortgage to the bank; otherwise the bank will take my building. I can’t afford leasing to tenants that don’t or can’t pay rent!

It’s true; there are many unqualified renters in the market today. I see many renters walk away very unhappy because they did not meet the criteria necessary it took to live there. My primary responsibility to my business is ensuring the renters I have meet certain qualifications before I rent to them. The only way I’ve stayed in business for 20+ years is by having qualified tenants.

If you own real-estate investment property and want to be successful you can’t listen to those who say, ( I’m taking advantage of them, or it’s not fair) As an investment property owner I have to follow the rules my company has set forth, I can’t break the companies policy.

Please don’t blame the property owner/managers, they did not cause the economic & credit problems some renters face.

There’s a reason why certain policies are made and enforced by property-owners; “it’s called fair protection from risky renters”. The moment an individual puts themselves in the shoes of the property-owner, they will have a clearer perspective regarding this matter.

There is a solution for those challenged and aren’t meeting certain criteria’s to rent. Any potential renters having problems qualifying can check with local cities, governments, there should be a housing & urban development program available. I feel compassion for anyone whose fallen on troubled times, I understand these times are ruff, but not unmanageable! Please don’t blame the property owner/managers, they did not cause the economic & credit problems some renters face.

Think about what’s right and then do it; I always say; “It’s harder to do the wrong thing verses doing the right thing”

Yes, many do have a problem facing the credit issues.  But many landlords will allow bad credit if disclosed up front.

Marc~ It just depends on the landlord! Some landlords will absolutely make concessions, but on the other- hand some landlords wont!
