May 2012 Real Estate Market Update

The Indian Summer Golf & Country Club neighborhood in Olympia, WA has seen a boost in home sales and pending this month.  The market may have started off slow in Indian Summer however it is just starting to rev up.   

Inventory grew from 17 properties for sale last month up to 21, with a wide range of choices from existing and presale townhomes and single family homes.

There were four sales this month and two homes went under contract.   

More buyers and sellers are getting back to normal moves with trade-up and trade-down moves.  We are at the lowest point in 2 ½ years for distressed (short-sale and bank-owned) homes sales, which is a good indication of moving in the right direction to a healthy and balanced market.
