Facebook Marketing
Social media is a fact of life and the most dominate players are face book, twitter and linked in . Facebook has become one of my best marketing tools to gain exposure for my real estate listings.
I am often asked how I have learned so much about marketing online or internet marketing. As we find with many things a lot of what I have learned has been by trial and error. Social media is an ever changing landscape but being able to interact with friends has given sites like face book a huge advantage over old style television , radio and news paper advertising. With social media you can effectively build a relationship with an individual person, This is something that can greatly enhance the whole customer/service/product dynamic. Facebook has captured the whole dynamic of selling with one word “LIKE”. For years long before face book I was telling my salespeople and employees that in order for someone to do business with us they would have to “LIKE” us. Getting someone to like you is the first step in getting a commitment from a potential customer. We have all heard word of mouth is the best form of advertising. One friend tells another. I have 1500+ friends who have liked my page and have a total of over 670,000 friends so you see how effective facebook can be.
I have learned a lot about internet marketing by buying digital products from click bank. (Clickbank is the largest digital publisher online.) You buy a product and download it immediately. Here is a link to one of the most popular face book products on click bank.

Part of what I did was study affiliate marketing to help me learn how to market real estate online. Successful affiliate marketers are the best marketers on the internet. Affiliate marketers basically market other people’s products for them. Have a wonderful day and happy selling

I believe if you scroll down and review some of the comments you will see the method to my madness so to speak. I have 4 other facebook pages with each one targeted to a specific audience.I never believed in floor duty.Sitting in the office hoping for a call or walk in. In the old days I would travel around the community connecting with business owners looking to drum up business.A few well connected business people can send you a lot of business. I was of course restricted geographicly by time,money and distance.That has all changed with the internet. It still takes time but in the old days you stopped making calls usually by 9 or 10 pm.Now I can work on line as late as I wish.On one of my facebook pages I have over 1000 friends who are mostly small business people all over the world.We exchange ideas and share and re-tweet each others posts to our followers with the common goal to help each other out.I firmly believe the relationships and the foundation we are building on line will be a huge benifit to our firm as we recover from this great recession.

Great post. I struggle with social marketing. I'm in the process of taking the IMSD course and I signed up for AR. Do you recommend any other things I should be doing. Coaching maybe or VA's. I really want to make this happen so I can stop feeling like I'm missing out on something.

You are on the right path. I signed up for IMSD but haven't had time to complete it but I believe they cover the basics pretty well. The best way to get traffic to your website is definitely GOOGLE. I use blogging and twitter a lot. Here's an example for the term "Affordable Home Near Stanfield Airport" out of 2,480,000 results I rank 1,2,3,4and 5 on the first page of GOOGLE. Do you know corporations are paying GOOGLE $100,000,000 a day now to attract customers. I have learned how to do this at no cost and could do it for any business. Today Learn and Earn should be the key phrase in the real estate industry. The more you Learn the more you will earn. All the best Ron.

Great info. I just checked out a couple of your links. I plan to be much more aggressive with social media next year.
This site is not just for your best friends, it is for networking. So it doesn't matter how many you are in contact with on a regular basis. It matters how it helps your business and obviously it does work for you.
