Calgary GreenwayCelebrating the newest outdoor recreation addition to Calgary's green spaces, Parks Foundation invites all Calgarians and their families to The Calgary Greenway Walk With Us event this Friday June 2nd. Come and enjoy free food and entertainment, then take a walk in this innovative project of 118 km of pathway that will encircle the city once it is done.

Calgary Greenway is a vehicle-free loop that will be accessible year-round. It will include off-leash dog parks, playgrounds, rest stops, lookout points and spectacular wetlands. Connecting more than 40 communities it is "the first project of its kind anywhere in North America. Once complete, the Calgary Greenway will be an iconic project for the city.” says Jenna Findlater, major projects manager for Parks Foundation Calgary, in an article published in the Canadian Home Builders' Association.

Come to enjoy nature in a day full of fun for the whole family, this Friday 10 a.m. at the east end of 64th Avenue NE. The event will be attended by Mayor Nenshi and local celebrities. For more information please visit Parks Foundation Calgary website.
