Whew... Back to Normal!

Yesterday afternoon turned into a madhouse in the center of Myrtle Beach, thanks to the Republican Presidential Candidates Debate at the Convention Center.  A 10' tall sand sculpture (think Mount Rushmore) of all six candidates, as well as a "Welcome to Myrtle Beach" banner, was erected across the street, welcoming these famous folks to our little town by the sea.

While having such prestigious guests is a very exciting aspect for Myrtle Beach, I am excited about our town's enthusiasm about the upcoming election.  No matter their preference for Republican, Democrat or Independent, everyone was out in full force to show their support for our democracy.

I'm proud of you, Myrtle Beach!  We've set a terrific example for the rest of the country, and I know this election will be one of the most nail-biting contests yet!

Cheers to getting back to normal! We don't usually have too much excitement from the political stuff going on around here...I guess we're just too small ;-) that and we don't have THAT many votes...haha
