©I Am In Love© with my iPad©.

I love my iPadI have pondered over in my head which I tool I need more, my Smartphone, my 19” laptop, 3 in 1 copier fax scanner or my iPad? I am now convinced the answer is my iPad.

I recently was on vacation and I was able to go on line and pull up documents from my paperless file RELAY, forward documents to others, signed a form I had forgotten to sign earlier, take notes, take pictures, keep my calendar updated and send emails when necessary.

I love my iPad and watch my dogs at the kennel

The most important thing though, I had left my 3 puppies in the kennel and they post pictures of the dogs and cats daily so what fun it was to see my dogs on their beds, playing outside and looking fit and healthy.

I love my iPad and watch my dogs at the kennel

It was such a joy every day to find the pictures and save them to look at later. It is so much easier to have a vacation when you can relax knowing your pets are well taken care of. While riding in the car, I could go on line and see them.

Also I used the Google Map app to guide us in unfamiliar areas especially when the car navigation was wrong. We traveled through 3 states back east and I was such a great navigator along with my iPad.

My last vacation this May, I had taken my 19” laptop as it was necessary to work while gone but what a hassle carrying it in a roller case and locking it in the hotel safes wherever we stayed. This time, the iPad went in my big Coach tote and was always at my side.

Also, at night while everyone was sleeping, I could watch my soap opera and other shows I had missed that week. Everyone wondered why I didn’t get enough sleep but I didn’t want to tell them I was up watching TV and playing Solitaire half the night. I am a big Solitaire nut and did this while I was bored on the airplane too as I was too cheap to pay the wifi fees on the plane.

I also like to cook and sometimes I find recipes on line and enlarge them on my iPad and put it in the kitchen so I do not have to print it off and waste paper and ink.

I had not used my iPad much before the trip and now I carry it with me everywhere. It is more compact than my 19” laptop and I recently bought a new case that has a slanted keyboard. Happy Day!

Since I have been back, I signed up for the docusign for my iPad so I can get documents signed while at my client’s home. Way Cool!

I read a statement recently that said “There is no best tool except the one you actually use”. I also use my Smartphone but everything is so much smaller to read and the wifi system is different so I prefer the iPad. I am hoping eventually I will be able to talk on the phone from it….perhaps this is in the Apple future and make Quicken software so I can balance my checkbook on vacation too?

There are so many other uses for my iPad that I have not even discovered but like I said before:

Hi Margaret,

Oh yes my iPad is wonderful and truthfully I didn't even want one. I got it because our KW computer tech told us that we would be left behind without it so I broke down and got one. OK so I had it a week and was in love. It didn't take long.

Hi Amanda,

Yes as I just said in the above comment, I didn't really care about it but got it and then I knew it was a wonderful tool to help my business and make my life easier. I know you will love yours too. I am sure you will be writing these same comments soon. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.

Kristin - My iPad paid for itself with my first listing presentation on it (it was when iPads were still a novelty and most people didn't have them).   I still give my listing presentations using my iPad.  It was a lifesaver when my husband was in the hospital and we wanted to watch episodes of our favorite shows together.  I like your idea about using it with recipes for cooking.  I'm going to try that.

Hi Gail,

Yes the recipe thing came to me as I was on the airplane thinking about looking up recipes from fancy restaurants and printing them.......no I could go "green" and just read it off my screen. So a couple of nights after being home, I tried it and now I do it all the time. Then if I really like the recipe, I can print it to save or just DELETE.

I didn't take it on my last listing appointment as she was past the technology age and I thought it might confuse her so I did it the old fashioned way.

Hi David,

Oh you silly! Of course I must use my brain but then the next best tool is my iPad. I think sometimes I forget my brain but have my trusty iPad in my purse. It is probably smarter than I am anyway. Just kidding.

Have a great Thursday.

Hi Rosemary,

Thanks for stopping and commenting. RELAY is a site where we put all of our paperless files in and then wherever we are, we can access them, send them off to others. KW just went to DotLoop and I am still not sold on it but we will see. But to answer your question, it is a paperless system and very green.

I am with you, Kristin! I LOVE MY IPAD! And I have the 1st generation. I can't imagine how crazy about it I would be if I had one that took pictures and video!!! YIKES!

Hi Joni,

I have the middle one and it is fine with me. I do not have to always have the newest of everything. But as I said before I love it and I am glad you love yours. Thanks for stopping.

PS My smartphone takes great pictures and I cannot tell any difference than the ones I take with my Cannon Rebel. Of course I had an older BB and its camera was really poor but it was bought 4 years ago and was still going strong when I replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy; love it.

Kristin, that is just so cute of you to watch your soaps and play solitaire while everyone was sleeping! No wonder you're in love with your iPad...it's a great companion to have around, especially when you're bored. :)

Hi Leilani,

My one vice is I love to watch TV at night to relax and fall asleep plus I watch a soap opera when I have time. I think flying is pretty boring so my iPad was my companion. It will be great for listing presentations and getting counters signed too.

Hi Patricia,

Absolutely true and I seem to find more uses all the time. I am hoping they will make a mouse soon too for my iPad as I prefer the mouse to a keyboard.

A very true quote indeed. Tools are only helpful when we actually use them. I'm with you on the iPad. So glad I have one, I use it everyday.

Hi Jeffery,

I totally agree with you as I used to buy new items and would find out later I never used them so now I am more select in my purchases and do more research before buying something new to replace something that is still extremely functional. The iPad is certainly a great tool to make me more mobile.

Hi Kathy,

I got mine just before my trip so I was unaware of all the features too. I had to ask my daughter how to do some things. I just got the docusign for it so that will be a great advantage for my buyers and sellers.

Enjoy yours too.

Thank you Kristin.  Sounds like it is Cartavi or something close to it.  I use that and I love it.
