Inventory Shrinks by Nearly 50% in San DiegoCounty

Since June of 2011 the number of active residential listings has dropped from a bit over 12,000 to a bit over 6,000.  And Since January of this year, pending sales have risen from 4,000 a month to close to 6,000 in May.  As we see the number of active listings and pending sales move closer the market becomes far more competitive for buyers.

Overall the Atlanta market is about 1/3 of what it was 2-3 years ago.  Multiple offers are no longer the exception to the rule.
