Long ago and far away, we were in a real estate market where agents could actually predict, with some degree of accuracy, based upon market statistics, when a house would sell.....We tell Sellers today that the days are gone when we could say:
"You house will sell in 12 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes and 8 seconds from now."
Timing is not quite soooo certain now....so the dilemna for some homeowners who want to take advantage of the great interest rates and super prices is.....what to do FIRST.....List their house and hope they can find a house they want when it sells OR find a house they want to Buy and THEN list their house....decisions...decisions. Bridge loans have been thrown off the bridge and the options now are fewer.....We can't advise anyone, no matter how attractive their home may be, to buy another house first and hope theirs sells quickly.....Two mortgage payments, affordable or not....not a good financial decision.
If you are confused or uncertain about what to do...Call a qualified realtor in your market and discuss your options. If you are in Waukesha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee or Washington counties in Wisconsin...call the Hansons.
