The Polk Street Neighborhood of San Francisco is a bustling area with shops of all types. One is Hahn's Hibachi Restaurant

Hahns Hibachi Restaurant, Polk St, SFLocated one block east of Van Ness Avenue, near the base of Nob Hill, you'll find a real neighborhood, with a variety of stores to meet your needs. These are unique-to-San Francisco stores, full of character, owned by and staffed with friendly people who greet you with a smile and make you feel at home.

Hahn's Hibachi - awningOne such casual restaurant is Hahn's Hibachi BBQ, a small local chain with four locations. "Mine" is located at 1710 Polk Street, between Washington and Hahn's Korean beef BBQ & tempuraClay streets. Here you'll find good food at reasonable prices, served by a friendly staff.

I first noticed Hahn's when walking by and read their window painting --- "Love is like the wind--I can't see it but I can feel it." I knew this was one place I'd  be trying soon, and have not been disappointed on my several visits there.

Friendly neighborhood stores like Hahn's Hibachi Korean BBQ add to the enjoyment of Living My San Francisco Dream

Lottie, it looks good!  Very nice advertisement too.  And yes, friendly neighborhood stores are additional attraction for the buyers.

What a great window painting their "love is like the wind...." is! That would draw me in too, and it sounds like you've found a new favorite spot!

These individual neighborhoods in the City are pretty special and have a unique atmosphere all their own.  It only makes sense that the food you find there would be pretty special as well.

Love Korean Barbecue.  San Francisco has just as many good restaurants as NYC.  Love Crustacean on Polk St.  Used to go to thier original place out in Judah before they became so famous!

I'm glad I made you all hungry! My challenge: is there enough time when I'm not working to go for a hike, a jog, a staircase climb so I can indulge in all our delicious restaurants? The verdict is out.

Jennifer, Crustacean closed its doors this past year. Pesce is still on Polk. Our favorite neighborhood fish restaurant: Hyde Street Seafood and Raw Bar, on Russian Hill, corner of Jackson and Hyde. Did you ever try it? Hmmm.....I need to write a blog post!
