The City of Gaithersburg presents The Photographer's Eye, a juried exhibit featuring images by members of the Gaithersburg Camera Club, at Kentlands Mansion through July 22, 2012. This exhibit, showcasing the broad range of talent of the GCC, was juried by Mark van Bergh.
The Gaithersburg Camera Club serves upper Montgomery County and its almost 150 members range from beginning to professional photographers. The GCC regularly exhibits throughout the Washington, DC area. All levels of experience are represented in this show including those who are exhibiting for the first time along with award-winning photographers. Landscape, architectural, nature, portrait, and abstract photography will be featured.
The Gaithersburg Camera Club meets twice a month, and members and guests may attend all meetings. The educational meeting is on the second Monday and features a speaker who informs members on a specific area of photography. The competition meeting is on the fourth Monday. Members are allowed to enter their photographs for review by a certified judge. Awards are presented based on the judge's decisions. Members may also talk with judges on competition night.
