Looking for a great place to hold an event or a wedding, then visit the Bedford Columns Event and Cpnference Center. The Bedford Columns building is c1848 Historic Bedford Hom sits on top of a hill on Main St. It has ample parking and an amazing wrap around porch.
Orginally Built to a school for boys, it has served many purposes over the years. During the Cival War it served as a hospital with 200 beds for Confederate soldiers. Not long after the war and several owners later the home was purchased by Dr. Walter L. Lyle who convered the building into a private home and added the wrap around porches. After Dr. Lyle the home became a home for senior citizens. In 2011 the work began to convert the home to the Bedford Columns Event and Confernce Center.
The foyer of the Bedford Columns makes a grand statement with its large staircase. The building now has private suits, a movie theater and seating for several hundred people.
