I have lived in a cabin in the Maine Woods from 1987 through 1992 off the shores of Moose Pond with Pleasant Mountain in the backdrop and it was the greatest time of my life. I didn't have glass windows, just wooden shutters that I had to pull down or pull up to let the light in. It was an experience that changed my life for the better.
