#24--Registered Gray QH Mare. Age: 7. Height: 15 hands. Price: $475. Quiet in the pen, rode through walk and trot; needs finishing so best suited to an experienced rider/trainer.

Total Cost with Fees: $638.00

This pretty young girl arrived late and found the alfalfa to be much more interesting than me but she was curious about me and did take a second or two in between mouthfuls to say hello to me. She has papers and a signed transfer and was announced as being sound, with no vices and as a babysitter...but judging from how she went I'd say she COULD be a babysitter AFTER she's been worked with a bit more. Granted she may have just been scared (and she had every right to be!) but she seemed to be a bit green and confused so would probably do better with someone who can finish her off before she does any babysitting.

#26--Bay Mare. Age: 8. Height: 15-15.2 hands. Price: $525. Quiet in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $693.00

Notes: This mare had just arrived and was very interested in her hay, much more so than she was in any of us. She has a great build and was said to be 100% sound. She has three nice gaits and seemed to be an honest girl who knows her job.

#28-Appendix Red Dun Mare. Age: 10. Height: 14.1 hands. Price: $225. Quiet and friendly in the pen, rode through quietly walk and trot but a bit green; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $363.00

Notes: This pretty girl was very quiet and friendly and went immediately to my treat pouch. She's definitely a bit of a treat hound, but was polite about it. It was announced that her name is "Roxie" and that although she is registered a previous owner lost her papers. It was also said that she has had a few foals and has been busy raising babies so is green under saddle. With an experienced owner/trainer to finish her off she should make someone a really nice pony.

#29--Bay Pinto Mare. Age: 10. Height: 11 hands. Price: $150. A bit unsure in the pen, led through walk and trot, not broke to ride so experienced rider/trainer needed.

Total Cost with Fees: $280.50

Notes: This little girl was a bit scared in the pen but with time she warmed up and proved to be a sweet, nuzzley girl. She was led through at a walk and trot. When her handler was asked why she wasn't being ridden the answer was that she does not seem to be broke. With an experienced owner/trainer to get her started she could be a really nice little pony for someone.

#35--Bay Roan TB Gelding. Age: 5. Height: 16 hands. Price: $300. Friendly and sweet in the pen, rode through quietly walk and trot, green so experienced rider/trainer needed to finish.

Total Cost with Fees: $445.50

Notes: This guy is very sweet and was quiet, calm and willing in the pen, behaving very well for his pictures. He does have a tattoo and is probably a TB. In the ring it was announced that he had been in training at a hung stable and was started over fences but that the owner's financial situation forced them to sell this guy. He is a really nice mover who seemed quiet and honest but he is a bit green yet so should go to a home with an experienced owner/trainer who can finish him. A really nice hunter prospect.

#36--Bay Stud Colt. Age: 5. Height: 15.3 hands. Price: $100. Friendly in the pen, rode through quietly at a walk. Needs experienced rider/trainer to finish.

Total Cost with Fees: $225.50

Notes: This boy was so quiet in the pen that we didn't even realize he was an intact colt until it was announced in the ring...and there were mares in there with him! As he is underweight he was much more interested in the alfalfa than the mares. In the ring it was announced that his name is "Marty" and that he is a laid back guy with three nice gaits and that he is a good prospect. He rode through at a walk very quietly and needs an experienced owner/trainer to finish him. Will make a really nice gelding.

#970--Chestnut Gelding. Age: 8. Height: 11.2 hands. Price: $225. Sweet and curious in the pen, led through walk and trot. Cloudy left eye but loss of vision doesn't seem to bother him. Nice boy.

Total Cost with Fees: $363.00

Notes: Despite a very cloudy and probable blind left eye this guy was extremely quiet, friendly and curious in the pen. He was led through so we don't know if he is broke or not but he was quiet in the ring and seemed to be very well mannered.

#972--Bay Gelding. Age: 8. Height: 13.3-14 hands. Price: $300. Unsure but friendly in the pen, rode through walk and trot; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $445.50

Notes: Although this cute little guy was a bit unsure of me when I first approached him he warmed up very quickly and was soon using my chin as a headrest while I rubbed his neck. He is curious and friendly and was probably just a bit overwhelmed. He rode through quietly and had really nice suspension at the trot. Seemed like an honest little guy.

#980--Chestnut Gelding. Age: 12. Height: 15.2-15.3 hands. Price: $700. Friendly and quiet in the pen, rode through walk and trot; advanced beginner type.

Total Cost with Fees: $885.50

Notes: This guy was very quiet and gentle in the pen and is one of those who got much more interested in me once my attention was shifted to his neighbor. He was mannerly and polite, took treats nicely and ignored one of his neighbors who was quite fussy at times. In the ring he was quiet and a nice mover but the selling point to me was when I heard his rider say to Frank: "this is a nice, quiet horse,". Can't get a much better recommendation than that!

#981--Black (Tri-color) Pinto Mare. Age: 7. Height: 13.2-13.3 hands. Price: $350. Friendly and "helpful" in the pen, rode through at a walk. Green and scared but behaved. Needs experienced rider/trainer to finish.

Total Cost with Fees: $500.50

Notes: This girl is super cute, curious and sweet. She went straight to my treat pouch and then just stared at me when I moved it out of reach until I gave her one. She has a kind eye and a quiet way about her. In the ring she appeared to be fairly green and was so frightened (and had every right to be!) that she eventually just stopped in the middle and stared at the stands until her rider got off and led her out. With some patience and training this girl should make a really nice pony for someone.

#983--Chestnut Pinto Gelding. Age: 10. Height: 15.3 hands. Price: $675. Sweet in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter. Well broke, intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $858.00

Notes: This good looking guy was initially more interested in his hay than he was in me, but he quickly warmed up and loooved having me scratch his neck. He rode through really nicely, reined around really well and seemed to be a very well broke horse.

#985--Bay Arabian Gelding. Age: Smoothmouth. Height: 14 hands. Price: $350. Sweet and gentle in the pen, rode through walk and trot. Scared but behaved. Intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $500.50

Notes: This boy was very quiet in the pen with big, beautiful, kind eyes. I can't say what it is exactly but there is just something nice about this boy. In the ring he was scared (wouldn't you be?) so scrambled around a bit but didn't do anything wrong, tried hard and appeared to be an honest kind of guy.

#988--Bay Gelding. Age: 7. Height: 15.3 hands. Price: $625. Sweet and friendly in the pen, rode through walk and trot. Wasn't in the ring long enough to judge riding level.

Total Cost with Fees: $803.00

Notes: This guy is a very big bodied horse who was friendly and curious in the pen. Not an in-your-face type but seemed to really enjoy and seek out attention and is a really good cuddler. He seemed quiet in the ring but they were running them through at warp speed and this guy just wasn't in there long enough to say how he went.

#990
--Gaited Chestnut Pinto Gelding. Age: 7. Height: 15 hands. Price: $700. Quiet but unsure in the pen, rode through walk and gait but wasn't in the ring long enough to judge riding level.

Total Cost with Fees: $885.50

Notes: This handsome guy was a little unsure when I first approached him but after standing with him for a moment he began to warm up and once a treat was offered he brightened considerably and became my best friend. He gave lots of kisses and thoroughly enjoyed having his head rubbed. While he wasn't in the ring long enough to make any kind of determination regarding his training level I can say that he looked like a really nice, smooth ride.

#991--Bay Gelding. Age: Smoothmouth. Height: 15 hands. Price: $600. Quiet but unsure in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter. Nice mover, handy; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $775.50

Notes: This boy was very quiet and kept to himself in he pen allowing me to pet him, work around him and handle him but not overly interested in me. Polite, well mannered, just possibly overwhelmed by the environment. In the ring he was extremely quiet and handy, a beautiful mover and seemed very honest.

#992--Chestnut Pinto Gelding. Age: 8. Height: 15 hands. Price: $750. Sweet and curious in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter. Nice mover; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $940.50

Notes: This cute young boy is very much a "Curious George" type of horse who was peeking at me from under his neighbor's necks as I worked my way down the row. He's an in-your-pocket kind of guy without being a pest about it, has a kind eye and just a nice way about him. He seemed very honest in the ring and is a nice mover.

#993--Chestnut Gelding. Age: Smoothmouth. Height: 14 hands. Price: $250. Sweet and gentle in the pen, led through at a walk. Founder history, needs farrier attention. Nice boy.

Total Cost with Fees: $390.50

Notes: Despite clearly being uncomfortable this sweet boy felt that walking over to us for attention outweighed the discomfort it would cause. He is super cute, loves to be rubbed and nuzzles you back in return. Just a really nice pony. He was led through quietly at a walk and although he is obviously unsound I've seen foundered horses who were considerably more lame than this guy make a full recovery and be completely rideable. With some time and farrier attention this guy could be just fine. And even if he isn't ever rideable again this guy would be perfect to teach the kids/grandkids how to care for a horse as I'm sure he would be nothing but kind and patient with them.

#994--Bay Gelding. Age: 12. Height: 15 hands. Price: $400. Friendly and curious in the pen, rode through walk and trot; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $555.50

Notes: This boy was very quiet and a bit wide eyed in the pen as if just trying to take it all in. He engaged with me more after being given a treat and seems like a really sweet boy. In the ring he showed a very pretty trot with nice suspension who looked as though he may have a "go" button but as he was only in the ring for a few seconds it was hard to tell for sure.

#995--Bay Mare. Age: Smoothmouth. Height: 14.3-15 hands. Price: $350. Quiet and sweet in the pen, rode through walk and trot; intermediate type. Has tattoo, probable TB.

Total Cost with Fees: $500.50

Notes: This pretty girl was very friendly and lovey in the pen, frequently lowering her head and resting it against my chest so that I could rub her face. Although she was quite interested in eating her hay she would continuously "check in" with me, turning her head to look at me every few seconds as if to reassure herself that I was still there. Once treats were produced she proved to be a bit of a treat hound, but remained quiet and respectful. She spent very little time in the ring but rode through quietly. Although I stated "intermediate type" earlier she may be ok for an advanced beginner as well.

#996--Bay Mare. Age: Smoothmouth. Height: 16-16.2 hands. Price: $450. Friendly and curious in the pen, rode through walk and trot. Nice mover; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $610.50

Notes: This girl was super sweet in the pen and just came across as a nice, friendly kind of mare. She is a bit of a treat hound, but is respectful about it. She was quiet in the ring, has a very pretty, floaty trot and is just a really nice mover.

#997--Belgian Mare. Age: 15. Height: 16.3-17 hands. Price: $725. Friendly and gentle in the pen, rode through walk and trot; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $913.00

Notes: This gentle giant was quiet and friendly in the pen, has nice manners on the ground and quietly laid her head against my chest so that I could rub it. She easily lifted her front feet for me but seemed confused when asked to lift her rear legs and actually turned her head to look at me as I tried to lift one of them as if she had no clue why a person would pull on her rear legs. She rode through quietly, honestly and seemed to be a nice, quiet ride. Although I listed her earlier as an "intermediate type" she would probably do just fine with an advanced beginner and may make a really nice husband horse.

#998--Registered Bay Pinto Walking Gelding. Age: 10. Height: 15.2 hands. Price: $675. Unsure but quiet and curious in the pen, rode through walk and pace; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $858.00

Notes: This boy doesn't seem to know what it means to be loved. He was initially very unsure of me and although he never moved or offered to do anything wrong he eyed me as if wondering what I might do to him. After being given a moment to watch and sniff me he warmed up and became sweet, curious and gentle. By the time I walked away he thought I was his new best friend and was politely accepting treats while allowing me to handle him as much as I wanted to. In the ring he was quiet and seemed to be extremely honest but when he had been ridden earlier he was on the forward side hence the recommendation that he go to an intermediate type of rider.

#1000--Liver Chestnut Gelding. Age: 12. Height: 14 hands. Price: $550. Friendly and "helpful" in the pen, rode through walk and trot. Scared and forward, but behaved. Intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $720.50

Notes: This handsome little guy is a character and a half! He is nosey, curious, "helpful" and a bit of a pickpocket who is also a major treat and attention hound. However he manages to be all of those things while also seeming to be very aware of his actions and was extremely gentle and careful in the way he used his body. He needs some work under saddle and at present is not a kids horse...however I wouldn't be surprised if he has been a leadline pony and it's possible he may be good for that kind of job. With some time and training this could be a super nice pony.

Resales:

#21-
-Liver Chestnut Mare. Age: 9. Height: 15 hands. Price: $825. Quiet and friendly in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter. Honest, well broke, advanced beginner-intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $1,023.00

Notes: Despite having just arrived and being very interested in her hay this mare was interested in us enough to say hello and politely accepted a treat before turning her attention back to her alfalfa. She rode through quietly, showed three good gaits and seemed to be an honest, well broke little mare.

#22-
-Registered Appaloosa Gelding. Age: 11. Height: 15 hands. Price: $700. Quiet in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter; intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $885.50

Notes: This guy had just arrived and although he politely accepted a treat from me he was tied to the rail and was much too busy taking in his surroundings to pay any other attention to me. He has a signed transfer and was announced as being 100% sound. Although he has a "go" button he came right back and walked on a loose rein when asked. Seems like a nice, well broke horse.

#25--Registered Chestnut QH Gelding. Age: 9. Height: 14.3 hands. Price: $675. Friendly and curious in the pen, rode through walk, trot and canter. Nice mover. Intermediate type.

Total Cost with Fees: $858.00

Notes: This guy was quiet in the pen and was friendly and curious despite having just arrived and being very interested in his hay. In the ring he was announced as being a cow horse who also does trails, jumps and is sound. He has a signed transfer, is a really nice mover, reins around well and seemed to be an honest horse.

Notes: This guy was quiet in the pen and was friendly and curious despite having just arrived and being very interested in his hay. With the long and deep connection between horses and America I was ashamed when President Obama authorized the slaughter of Horses for food in the USA last November.

Hi Edward, Thanks for stopping by...Yes, beyond disappointing that President Obama Signed that Bill...As two large Clydesdale delivered the White House Christmas tree...hundreds were being shipped to Canada and Mexico for slaughter. Thanks for voicing your support!  Much Success ~ Tara
