Saturday June 30th the local Realtors in Lane County, (Eugene, Springfield,Creswell, Cottage Grove, Veneta and Junction City) will have their 3rd Annual Food Drive at all Bi-Mart Stores in our area. Bi-Mart has been an outstanding partner in this event each year, and the Realtors...what can I say. They man the doors of each store with amazing attitude and grace, and collect tons of food and thousands of dollars to help fill the coffers of our local food banks.
Teamed with Food For Lane County, this project is one of many that help feed the homeless and dis-advantaged in our local area. We provide shoppers entering the ten Bi-Mart stores with lists of the most needed foods, and then as they exit another team collects the food and generous cash and check contributions. This has been a very successful venture the two previous outings, and we plan to make it an ongoing annual event. Bi-Mart, a locally owned grocery and retail store, has partnered with us on each venture and is without any doubt an amazing partner. They partner with many other groups during the year to help their community and we applaud them!
This is a fun and rewarding event that helps the community and lets us all give back just a little bit :-)
