San Marino Market Update
San Marino is a city in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California. Well-manicured single family homes on tree-lined streets are the order of the day - you’ll find no apartments or condos in this small city. The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Gardens is a major attraction and was formerly the home of Henry Huntington, the railroad tycoon. A well regarded and nationally recognized school district, newer public library and the beautiful Lacy Park in the center of the community all combine to create a very pleasing environment in a location that is convenient to Pasadena and the San Gabriel as well as Downtown Los Angeles.
There are currently 32 properties on the market for sale in San Marino ranging in price from $965,000(a three bedroom, two bath home with approximately 1741 square feet on La Paz Drive) to $6,988,000(a 1978 built home with approximately 6772 square feet on more than an acre of land).
There are 23 properties in escrow. According to our local multiple listing service as of June 21, 2012, there have been 54 homes sold. The sold prices ranged from $750,000(a two bedroom, one bath on Los Robles) to $4,700,000(circa 1928 estate on Shenandoah).
