Georgia Grown Farmers Showcase shines the spotlight on Local Produce at its Finest

Did you know that agriculture is still Georgia’s No. 1 industry? Georgia Grown Farmers Showcase is a celebration of locally produced food and other wares -- everything from fruits and vegetables to plants and nursery items; meats and cheeses to grits and olive oil; specialty food items and honey to breads and pastries, plus nuts, ice cream barbecue sauces, spices and more – and of course, everything you’ll find is Georgia Grown! 

The free event is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and will next be held at the Atlanta state Farmers Market in Forest Park GA on Saturday, July 28, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Georgia Grown Farmers Showcase is the Southeast’s largest farmers market venue of its kind to showcase what local producers have to offer. Farmers and producers from around the entire state of Georgia bring their wares to the Atlanta market for this  event. There will also be entertainment and family fun for everyone at the Atlanta State Farmers Market at 16 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, GA 30297.
