This has been all over the news today, and I even heard them joking on the radio that "New Jersey residents would have to be millionaires to pay THOSE taxes!" I can tell you first hand that not all of our population is so wealthy. But it is great that our beautiful state is attracting some of the wealthy people of our country.

According to The Phoenix Affluent Marketing Service (which does research for companies that sell luxury products, investments and the like) and research that they conducted they are stating that although in 2005 and 2006 New Jersey ranked second, 2007 they moved up to the top position. Over 7% of the total 3.2 million New Jersey households are considered millionaires. That is that 7.12% of all New Jersey residents have more then $1 million or more in liquid or investable assets.
