Special offer

Freaky Friday Post

This is pretty funny.  Unfortunately,  it isnt far from the truth.  For example, yesterday I received a full price cash offer for a property from another agent.  Then, about an hour later I get a call from some guy who says he's in front of the property and wants me to come down and show it to him.

Mind you, if a Realtor double ends a deal - i.e. represent both sides they make twice as much money.  IOW, if a commission is 6% it is generally split 50/50 between the listing agent and the selling agent --- but if you represent both the buyer and the seller you make the full 6%.  I'm only explaining this so you know that I really had an incentive to show the guy the property: all the commission would be mine.

So, I politely explain the wannabe buyer, who says he is going to make a cash offer, that I don't mind driving all the way across town to show him the property but I already have a full price cash offer (with proof of funds) and that I would not write anything less than a full price offer.  To which he replied, well do you think they would take [insert a price $5,000.00 below the ask] for the home?

I JUST HUNG UP.

I'm not sure the F-Bombs needed to be inserted, but hey such is life.

Town or Country, in Colorado, we do it all.

Interesting until end when the language degraded.  Very poor taste in my mind.

Well Richard I agree with you that lanquage gets vulgar.  I dont us that kind of lanquage with clients but its quite common and unavoidable in real life.

For example this Realtor has no problem shooting off F bombs:

and yeah she's pretty tastelsss ---> but not all that atypical from my experience.
