Good morning, Janis.... fireworks over the Hudson River seems like a wonderful place to be on the 4th....
This sounds like it is going to be a great event and I am sure the turnout will be fantastic!!!!!
Now Janis, that to me would be a great dinner with the fireworks in the Hudson River sky!
Barbara ~ Up and Down the Hudson River are different locations for a great display of Fireworks on July 4th. Newburgh just happens to have some of the best, along with great restaurants. Easy access to the waterfront makes it very popular.
Barbara Jo ~ it does get quite busy in the evening. My office used to be on the waterfront there and we spent a couple of July 4th celebrations right there on the balcony watching so great Fireworks! I was sad when we moved...

Joanna... The views are great! Which bridge will you walk? If you are planning for dinner make sure to get reservations early, or you won't get seated. Eveyone wants those seats for the fireworks!

It is hard to believe that the Fourth of July is sneaking up on us! Good job for getting the word out early for the best places to hit during the festivities!

Janis, I don't think I'll be seeing to many fireworks this year, my daughter leaves for Italy on the 4th and I'll be at the airport, however they'll have plenty of lights for us to enjoy.

Ellen.. Wow .. Italy.. I so wish I was a kid again. SOOOOOOO many opportunities for them.. As far as fireworks? I think that while you are driving around you may catch some? If not.. you will catch them another day.. =) Best wishes for your daughters safe travel .. and maybe Mom is going to visit?? I love it! My daughter may be traveling for work this fall to South Africa.. and I'm hoping to be able to join her..
