A Game Changing Phone Call!
I was driving around last week looking for For Sale signs so I could put my brochures in the mailboxes. (you never know...)
I found a new house, vacant, with a builders sign in front.
I thought what the hey, and called the number.
The conversation went something like this:
"Hello?"
"Hi My name is Peg Barcelo-Jackson, I own a company called Fluff My House! Home Staging..."
"Oh you're a Home Stager?"
"Yes"
"Oh I've been looking for a Home Stager! I've asked my Realtor to find me one and he hasn't, I've got 10 houses to Stage!"
"Uh, I'm in!"
That was last week.
I met with Gary Burke from Daynel Homes Thursday and we toured one of his homes in Blackmud Creek for sale. He says he hasn't used a stager before, because he usually builds a house and puts it on the market and they sell.
This one has been on the market since December, so he's going to try something different.
I knew I was going to get along fine with him when I saw the same mosaic back splash that I had and the same privacy (frosted) glass on some of his windows!
He has two more houses in Devon that are just getting flooring and tile installed, so they will be ready soon!
He signed a contract for 6 rooms to be staged and even went for my clause that says I get $500 if the house sells in 30 days or he gets 20% off his next month's furniture rental!
I'm staging it tomorrow, Sunday! Stay tuned for some B&A's!
