14 Comments on 6 Things Golf Can Teach You About Buying A Home in Breckenridge
Not a golfer but I like the analogies, my son will like this he golfs and is an RE investor...Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much!! The two seem to go hand in hand. Always thought this would be a fun post to write! Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
Pete, great advice and fun post. We are heading to Breckenridge for a family vacation at the end of the month. Can't wait for cooler temps and taking in your beautiful scenery!
I like the analogy too Pete. Never thought of myself as a caddy before, but kind of like the idea. :-)
Great analogy, Pete. For me, though, I prefer to cart it! I can view the course just as well. LOL! Good advice for buyers to go slowly and scope out the neighborhood.
What a great post Pete! Reminds me of a post last year from Steve Matsumoto
"I see myself as a caddy."
I actually worked as forecaddy at Bighorn here in the desert years ago. It was my winter job when I played on the mini-tour. Love your analogies and your blog! Kathy
I never cart it. The real value to the game is the walk and walking a prospective neighborhood at various times allows a potential buyer to really get a flavor of the community. Great analogies
Creative post and great points! Spending what you can afford is definitely the key to getting the most enjoyment out of life! Afterall, money can't buy happiness, only things.
Pete, very good analogy! Good points that buyers need to be aware of when purchasing a home.
Hi Pete, I love the analogies. And I bet that you are a good golfer, too.
@Tricia: Enjoy your stay in Breckenridge! Let me know if you want any recommendations for bike rentals, dining options or hiking trails.
@Denise: How's Iowa City? I miss my alma mater... haven't been back in years!
@Barbara: Thanks for your comments. I spent a few years building homes in Westport/Fairfield right out of college. Is the Hay Day Market still on the Post Road?
@Kathy: Thanks for your comments. I never saw that post but will definitely check it out!
@Ed: Things happen much more slowly at a walking pace and I think you get a different perspective of the neighborhood. I know our trails look totally different when I'm hiking them versus biking them. Biking I tend to speed by too quickly to take it all in.
Hi Sandy, unfortunately you'd lose that bet! I spend too much time on my mountain bike in the summer, but I love exploring our trail network.
Iowa City is HOT right now Pete. You would not enjoy biking here this summer. Oddly enough I did drive by the golf course yesterday and there were some die hards out there. We have a heat advisory through tomorrow morning so I was quite surprised at that.
