Coming up July 7, 2012 from 9:00AM to 3:00PM is BATH'STILLE DAY at Costa Mesa Bark Park. Just when you thought Soap Operas were a thing of the past, along comes the Costa Mesa Bark Park's annual "sudser" the BATH'STILLE DAY DOG WASH. Once again this year, the Cheer and Football squads from Costa Mesa High School will be on hand to wash community canines -- and lend support to the dog park. Dogs of all sizes and breeds can get a wash and towel dry for the rock bottom price of $20. Also included in the festivities are a Vendor Fair, Raffle, BB-Q and a rare opportunity to take the Canine Good Citizen Test in a public setting. Adoption and Rescue organizations will be on hand if you are looking for a new companion and German Shepherd Rescue will be implanting microchips for the phenomenal price of $25. Our resident artist will paint your dog's portrait on our mural for $25.

June 24, 2012 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm is Pups N Pinot. An afternoon of wine and food tasting, live entertainment, silent & live auction, “Pooch Pageant” at the Newland House. Raising money for A Leg Up Rescue and Waggin’ Trails - rescuing dogs (and other animals) from certain death in our shelters or bad living situations ensuring they get placed in a forever home. $35 pre-sale, $40 at the door. VIP $45, $50 at the door – vip begins at 1pm.

IRVINE

NOW- June 24, 2012 is the annual A Taste of Greece! This is a fun-filled Festival for the whole family! Pastries, dancing, full-Scale carnival, boutique & delicious Greek food including a wine taverna. There will also be cooking demonstrations, Greek folk dancing lessons, church tours and opportunity drawings Admission $3.00 Children under 10 FREE.

LOS ALAMITOS

Coming up Wednesday, July 4, 2012 is the annual Fireworks Celebration!The gates open at 4:00 pm, Fireworks begin at 9 pm. Free to attend, $5 Parking (cash). Adults must have photo ID to enter. There will be a Food Court, Sponsor Booths and Kids Fun Zone. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. No bleachers available this year. NO ALCOHOL please. Dogs, fireworks and motor homes prohibited.Presented in cooperation with the cities of Los Alamitos, Cypress and Seal Beach, The Rossmoor Community Services District and the Joint Forces Training Base.

NEWPORT BEACH

Coming up Wednesday, July 4, 2012 with a 1 pm parade start time (Gala - 7 am - 11pm) is the annual Old Glory Boat Parade.Each year the Newport Beach Harbor becomes a festive delight as owners adorned their boats in red-white-&-blue decorations, balloons, streamers and waving flags that outline the skies as Sousa Marches and Anthems fill the air. Families and friends from near and far arrive at the bay front beaches and yacht clubs along the peninsula and the many islands, vying for the best spot to settle down and view the boat parade. The all-day Gala at the American Legion Post 291: Schedule of Events: Pancake Breakfast 7:00am - 11:00am - $10 BBQ Lunch and Dinner 12:00pm - 5:00pm - $10 Live Music and Dancing 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
