Retire in Spokane WA!

The Chicago Tribune has named the top 10 best places to retire and GUESS WHO MADE THE LIST?

Spokane WA is a great place to retire!

You can read the article here:

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-06-14/classified/sc-cons-0614-top-retirement-cities-20120614_1_income-taxes-retiree-property-taxes#.T-EycW-xbQA.email

Because of the reasonable cost of living, great activities, enormous medical community, and " near nature, near perfect" amenities Spokane has to offer, retiring in Spokane Wa just makes good sense. You will encounter 4 Season's so I guess if you don't like Winter, you may want to be one of the many people from the area who are " Snow Birds".

Spokane has some great Senior Citizen Centers in nearly each area of town! The South Hill Senior center is fabulous!

This article does not mention the incredible arts we have here in Spokane Wa. Our Spokane Symphony is AMAZING, We have Broadway productions that come through town, and an immense amount of local talent.

There are some renown neighboring Casino's if that is your guilty pleasure! The Northernquest Casino and The Couer d' Alene Casino are both amazing!

BELOW is a picture of my own parents, who have chosen to retire in Spokane Wa. This was my Mother's 80th birthday when we SURPRISED her! :) As a Realtor, it has certainly been my pleasure to help people find just the right home to retire and enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

BethAnn, not ready to retire anytime soon (what real estate agent ever does?), but it sure sounds like a fun place to visit.

I have always wanted to visit the northwest. Hopefully I will make it one day.

BethAnn... I just might do that! But probably not very soon. But I do love Spokane. It's easy to get around and I like the mix of old and new. My mom's side of the family lived in Spokane for many decades and I loved come over to visit. I was there end of this last March for work and I'm hoping to come over again soon. And, yes... the Spokane Symphony is a very fine orchestra.

BethAnn-What a great pic of your Mom and Dad. Your Mom looks like she is still full of life and laughter.
