Cafe of India: If You Forgot to Make Reservations at Le Chat Noir
A lot of the time, you can't get into Le Chat Noir without reservations, but when they are full with an hour and a half wait, don't give up. Right next door there is the Cafe of India.
That's how we discovered the place. And I'm glad we did. It's become one of my favorites in Tenleytown.
The menu is fun. We started off with an appetizer of crackling spinach. It's one of those dishes that I could not possibly reproduce. And the rest was a treat, whether you are a vegetarian or a carnivore.
Since the night we couldn't get into Le Chat Noir, we've eaten at Cafe of India a bunch of times. And every time we go there, they treat us like we are their best and favorite customers.
It's sort of the way I want my own clients to feel.
You probably won't need reservations, well, maybe on the weekends. And you can call them at 202-244-1395 or make them online at the Cafe of India web site.
