Steps Day One to Learn iPad Video Editing! I love, love, love my iPad.

If you want to see a few years worth of reasons why I love my iPad, start Day One on my IPad Realtor Apps group on Active Rain.

But for now, my favorite tech gadget is the NEW iPad because I can film community videos with my NEW High Resolution iPad number THREE.

I am on a Golden Results iPad Video Mission.

I saw a video last year by Debb James with her Golden Retriever at a Farmer's Market.

I could not stop thinking about it.

I figured it had a Golden, fresh fruit and veggies, and a "Mac" touch but no pun is intended about her pooch named Mac.

In otherwords, it was Golden to me! And it was one of her first videos.

I really want to figure out this Southern MD community photo video blogging stuff on my iPad.

I watched the Ross Hair Webinar recently with the five video experts.

The one that resonated with me was the Mark Passerby HDHat choice.

Matter of fact, his brand new iPad super wide angle lens is in transit.

So if you want to watch me go from caterpillar to butterfly, here are my steps starting today.

Step One? Call Debbie James for advice.

Step Two? Get lucky enough to have the Bachman's come to Town to help. They are coming Friday to kick off the Holiday and shoot some Southern MD video with me. They told me to follow Debb because of her iMovie skills. I remember I wrote a post about a double rainbow last year. Son of a gun, she was here from the West Coast crossing the Bay Bridge at that same moment and saw the same double rainbows and then flew back home and saw my photo post.

Step Three? Check out the Active Rain Group called YouTube Thursdays. Join and start watching and learning.

Step Four? Watch some Active Rain Celebs there for tips.

StepFive? Watch the YouTube ipad editing video Debb James suggested. Paste this url in your browser to learn iMovie on your iPad. Go ahead!

Brennan Sparks explains how to insert videos, pictures, music, sound effects, and titles on your iPad iMovie project. Plus, he covers the precision editor and shows audio wave forms.  Brennan reviews how to delete and split clips and undo your mistakes. There are instant voice overlays using the built in microphone plus the option to  add a Ken Burns technique. Brennan shows you how to take videos and pictures in the iMovie app. There are 8 different themes with unique music, transition, and style. The video explains how to export and upload your movies directly to YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, or the CNN iReport plus how to view your project on your iPad or send it to an Apple TV wirelessly through AirPlay. Bottom line, watch the Sparks video to spark your Ipad Video Editing talents.

If you want to know how many times I watched this video I am going to say mind your beeswax.

Step Six? Download the $4.99 app called Tutor for iMovie 11.

Step Seven. Just Nike do it. I think I will enter my  "feel the fear and do it anyway" movie project with the new HDHat lens soon for the contest about tech tool gadget favorites. Stay tuned for upcoming caterpillar video insert when the HDhat new gadget arrives this week.

The End. The things you do, the people you call, and the people you enlist to help for another Active Rain Contest. There is no doubt about it. My favorite gadget and a few years of posts explaining why is the iPad. Now I can add one more reason why it flies above the other Realtor Tech Tools. It is called iMovie and thank goodness Deb James gave me all these great tips!

Cheryl I love that you just jumped in and now you are an expert with the iPad.  I am having a little problem because there is just so much to learn.  But... I love it!  I am now trying to figure out how to use Evernote and understand what I am doing!

iMovie is nice for the new iPad's stunning retina display, but Avid Studio--based off of Avid Media Composer, used to edit many Oscar winning movies--offers a lot more options while editing. I recommend checking it out!
