Splishing and  Splashing at Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor Florida

A couple of weeks back we were at Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor (a really great park to take the family - it even has an Indian Mound), and these guys were in the water waiting anxiously for a stick to be thrown their way.

Phillipe Park - the steps to the Indian Mound: there is a path on the other side of the mound for easier access. For an explanation of Indian Mounds check out site.

And, when you get to the top, this is the view along with dogs splishing and splashing.

Not a bad way to spend a day. See a previous Phillipe Park post.

And, if you are looking for a home in the area

Wow this is beautiful...reminds me of a time my hubby and I went kayaking and would watch a friend on shore throw a stick to his dogs..I was of course worried it was too far out for the dogs, etc :-0

Toni,

That photo of the dogs in the water makes me wish Ode to Joy was playing in the background!

Isn't life great - it's a dog's life!

Toni, if I ever have a client with a dog for New Port Richey area, there is no doubt in my mind whom to call to give a referral to. You seem to have an unlimited knowledge of things to do with your dog!!!

Will - thanks, I do too.

Roy - that's true even though today we are drowning in rain!

Ode to Joy would be just perfect, Patricia. I don't know why I didn't switch to video and take them playing.

Jeff- they always look so happy and joyful.

Thanks, Tanja. It's because I love to see them have fun.

Alexandra - your butterfly is wonderful. I'm glad you had time to take the picture.

LOL!  I'm sure those dogs were just so happy to cool off!  I hope there was someone there to play stick with them.  They look like they are having a ball!

Hi toni,

Better stay inside today and tomorrow.

It's quite wet outside. You are also under a tornado watch.

I hope all is well in New Port Richey.

best, Clint mcKie

I love public parks, and so many of them have ties to history!  BTW I hear from my Florida relatives that you guys are getting rain like unto needing an ark pretty soon!  Sounds like the drought is well and truly over at last.

Toni,

I need to throw Waffles in the water with those dogs... but she is the only lab I know that doesn't like water!  Looks like a great park!

Have a good one

Jennifer - one of their owners had several sticks he was tossing in. They were having fun.

Clint - It was one heck of a day yesterday. The golf course I live on looks like a lake today. Our pond is 3 times bigger than normal. The river behind the golf course over-flowed also.

Dianne - definitely needed the arc yesterday. It just never stopped raining-pouring-windy all day.

Leilani - they are cute! Thanks.

Waffles doesn't like water???? Maybe when she gets a little older, Rob.
