The Everett House in downtown Palo Alto is condo project with history, location, and amenities.
"Location tops the list of features for Palo Alto's Everett House"
.... so starts an old newspaper clipping from the now defunct Palo Alto Times Tribune, believed to have been published sometime in 1967. One owner is quoted in the article as saying she and her husband enjoyed being able to walk to a movie without worrying about parking their car, and that her husband would walk to the train for his commute to San Francisco. That owner moved to the Everett House after their children were grown and they decided, "to flee the day to day maintenance and care of a yard and pool."
In addition to the location, which is a fabulous today as it was in 1961 when The Everett House was built, you will find:
- community! 16 units comprise The Everett House; there's a sense of community here, a sense of family and friendship -- neighborliness!
- elbow room! Most 2-bedroom condos are in the 1620-1760 square foot range. The 3-bedroom, 3-bath units are over 2,000 square feet.
- outdoor living space! Large wrap-around decks for the exclusive use of each condo, plus a swimming pool for exercising and relaxing. Johnson Park is less than a block away when you want the feel of grass beneath your feet.
- easy and secure living! The Everett House is a secured building, with 2 elevators serving all floors, even the underground secured garage. Each condo is a single level, so when stairs are no longer an option, call the elevator.
Residents are drawn to The Everett House for the downtown lifestyle and space, then tend to stay a long time -The Everett House "works."
In the past 8 years I've listed 4 condos at The Everett House. If you would like more information, I'm happy to help.
