Realbird, my number one pick, Tools for Realtors Series

By

When I was a Realtor (in another recent life) I was always looking for the Tools for Realtors that would give me the most bang for my buck. And now that I am assisting Realtors, I am still looking for those same great tools. After all, money can be tight  between those closings. So in this series I am going to share with you some of my favorite tools for taking your business to a new level, while getting the most for your money.

Realbird, my number one pick, Tools for Realtors Series

My first Tool for Realtors to introduce to you is Realbird. I have to say that for the money, it has more to offer than any other tool out there. For a mere $129 per year you can enter an unlimited number of listings. But let's say you are just starting out, and only have one or two listings. Realbird is your best listing friend at this point. You can use it entirely free with up to two listings. This is also a great way to get started using it and see how user-friendly it is. For free you have access to almost all of the tools in the system. It is a great way to check it our and see how it works.

What is included in the free version of Realbird:

Full access to place your listing in the system, with unlimited images and information. This includes so many features it would require a very long article just on this box, but here is what is in each listing:

Realbird Listing Tools

As you can see there are more Tools For Realtors than anything any other system offers you. You will have a direct link to ad your listing into Craigslist, Activerain Blogs and your personal blogs, Backpage and e-Bay. E-mail your listing, tweet it, post to Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and more with a click!

My favorite new tool in Realbird is the brand new slideshow. It is absolutely amazing. They used to have a different format, and although it was great for SEO, the images were fuzzy. With the new Slideshow feature, it takes the images you load up and places them in a gorgeous slideshow format with a well placed link to a full flyer with all of the details of your listing. You get to format the flyer with a unique background (colors or an image).

Another nice Tool For Realtors in Realbird is the free QR code. They include a free QR code for each listing you place in the system. Not tech savvy? You don't have to be. You can order one from them, or print out the one on the site and take it to your local printer. Place this on your sign and all of the buyers who see this will think you are very tech savvy. So will your sellers. It is a great addition to your listing arsenal.

You can also get your own free listing domain for each listing, free codes for search widgets placing a free IDX on your website, and LEADS! Yes, the public finds these listings and actually writes you for more information on them. I am looking at one of my clients accounts and in the last year she has generated 11 pages of leads (10 leads per page) asking her to send more information about tone of the listings she has in the Realbird system). Are you sold on Realbird yet?

Upgrade your Realbird account:

For the paid Realbird account, the ads from your listings are removed (yes they have to generate income in some way from the free accounts). You get a much nicer map generated search widget function. Also included in the paid account is a  Moblile Site which also includes a QR Code that will show all of your Realbird Listings. You can use this link/QR Code on business cards and place the QR code on your signs.

I am sure I haven't even begun to get all of the benefits of Realbird in this post.

Right now I see that Realbird is having a special, $99, for the first year. That is a $30 savings! Are you in?

If you are a Realtor that doesn't feel comfortable doing these kind of things, or if you are just too busy, I am here to assist you. I work with Realtors all over the country. Just give me a call and see how I can assist you in getting more done in less time.

I hope that my Tools for Realtors Series: Realbird, my number one pick has helped you to see the potential in Realbird. Like this article? Stay tuned for more tips on making you shine!

Hi Doris - thanks for sharing - do you recommend Realbird as a sole IDX solution or as a complement to an agent's existing IDX. Thanks, Dave

David,

The use of Rea;bird as an IDX has it's limits, but if you have no other access you can it works well and gives you an opportunity to draw in potential buyers.

Here is a site i set up for someone in Lake Keowee, SC:

http://www.homesearchlakekeowee.com/search-lake-keowee-homes/

This will give you an idea. There is also a map based search that is really nice.
