Lovely shot, Patricia, and so very Florida-looking (not today, of course). Even with the damage from the storm - LIFE is Good!
as I looked at your B&W photo, Patricia...I noticed ..center stage..something quite remarkable...(is it a giant air-plant?...)...and I htought...how wonderful to be so "uplifted" ...along the journey...
Patricia,
Excellent shot of our Florida, and the black and white is great. :)
Steve
Awesome shot Patricia. Photos with strong contrast and structure look great in B and W. I need to do more...
Patricia, I love trees, and these are unusal and beautiful Banyan trees. As a kid, my sisters and I were always climbing trees, and swinging on grapevines....oh the memories...I love 'em. THanks for sharing the photo!
Yes, Patricia life is good. I think there is a rainbow of color hidden deep in the shades and shadows of black and white. Life is good when you see it differently. I love this series and thank you for letting me walk with you in your experience of these amazing trees.
Patricia,
Congratulations. Your photo is now featured in the group "Black & White Photos." :)
Steve
Steve... thanks for the feature in Black & White! I was out of pocket on a mini vacation with family. I'm excited and happy to know you decided to give me a star!
Thank you!!!
Emily,
Thank you for the generous array of colorful words and beautiful comments. Your words are like poetry with good meaning and they motivate me to do better.
I appreciate all that you are!
Rebecca... trees stir up our imagination, don't they? I loved climbing trees as a kid too! The Banyan Trees have something special to them, don't they?
I remember swinging across a river on a grapevine as a teenager. I managed to get on the other side. My cousin, who thought it looked so cool, did not. She ended up in the river and we laughed until we cried!
Steve & Jan... Enjoy playing with black and white. It has dramatic effects. Thanks for the comments!!!
Steve... Florida has so many great things to offer. I was in love with just about everything I saw! I look forward to the day I can get back there. In my opinion, all of Florida is a place to visit, not just Disneyland, or Disney World... sorry, I don't know the difference. I'm not one for amusement parks, I don't need roller coasters to feel great, I just need to be surrounded by natural beauty and those Banyan Trees were one of many I enjoyed.
janeAnne... It could be an air plant, I don't know? Or is it mistletoe? I really don't know but my spirits were definitely lifted! It was also a great place to mediate and soak up the Florida sunshine!
Toni... I heard about the terrible storms. Floridians are so strong. Nothing can destroy their spirits. I hope the clean up has begun and things are getting back to normal.
Roy... black and white are colors too! I know what you mean. Having a preference is great. Some times, change is good!
Thanks for the brightening up my post with your colorful flowers!
Larry & Sheila... You always make me feel good and that's what I luv about you! Thank you!
Barbara Jo... I have not heard of the Thomas Edison Estates. It was at the botanical gardens in Sarasota. I can't remember the name of the place at the moment. The gardens gave me ample time for reflection after the passing of my aunt.
Rob,
Fireflies.... I haven't seen them in years! Enjoy the quiet nights with flashes of lights in all the splendor of TN!
James... Life is Good because of you. I couldn't imagine life on ActiveRain without someone is kind as you. I'm glad you survived and that you're no longer a cop. Now you police lenders to get their jobs done!
You're a great man James. Your family is blessed and so are we on ActiveRain to have you.
