I EARNED A NEW CLIENT BECAUSE I ANSWERED MY PHONE ON SUNDAY
When the phone rang yesterday I answered it as I always do if possible. If I do miss a call, I return it as quickly as I can. I am in this business to help my clients buy or sell real estate. We are in a very brisk market right now and with the number of relocation's coming to our area, they need responsive real estate professionals.
The woman on the other end of the phone was elated that I answered the phone and shared with me that the agent the relocation company had given her had not returned her call from last week. The emails that she sent to her also went un-returned. When I answered her call you could hear the relief.
A typical family of five needing to relocate to The Woodlands and get settled in as soon as possible in order to get the kids acclimated before school was paramount. Therefore, every weekend was critical for them to be out looking for a home that would work for them! We had a great conversation and I was able to show them many homes and introduce them to our area.
Because I answered a call, I now have a new client. They are thrilled that I know the area very well and their level of apprehension went way down. I loved being able to show them The Woodlands as it is truly a unique and wonderful community.
We can't always answer every call immediately yet we can certainly respond back as soon as we can. Our business is not 9-5, five days a week. Being responsive can and will gain you clients!
