32 Comments on Speechless Sunday- Playing In the Sprinklers
Hi Wayne and Jean,
Yes they are having a good time and now they wait for the sprinklers to come on so they can run outside and play in the sprinklers. It is amazing how something so simple gives them such pleasure. Thanks.
Hi Sheila,
Our weather here has been pretty warm so what better way to cool off than playing in the sprinklers. Here is my other dog who really wants nothing to do with the sprinklers and would rather lay on the warm pavement and take a nap instead.
Kristin, I just love the look on the dogs face in the last photo! Bet he's a sock chewer.
Kristin,
Those are great pictures, but someone isn't sharing the water their their friend. :)
Steve
Kristin,
That is so funny! My dog won't get near water except to drink! I love it!
Hi Patricia,
She is so adorable and I am partial to her and she is so full of personality. She grows so fluffy and I have to get her clipped monthly so right now she has a lot of fur under her chin. I tease her and tell her that girls are not supposed to have beards. When she plays in the sprinklers, the wet fur is really pronounced. She is such a sweet girl and yes a chewer too.
Hi Steve,
Yes Gidget likes to keep all the water for herself and CoCo wants some too. It is so funny to watch them play. They can be anywhere in the house, and they hear the sprinklers come on and run to the back and wait for station 6 to come on. They like that one particular sprinkler; so funny.
Hi Dee Dee,
My Chihuahua doesn't like the water either but will get on the boogie board with Gidget. She is not interested in playing in the sprinklers. Here she is taking a sun bath while the others play.
Awwwww! So cute. They look like they're having a ball. Our big dogs (Australian shepard, red heeler and New Foundland) all love the water and get soaked, but my chihuahua is too prissy and hates being wet.
Gretchen
Kristin, it doesn't get much cuter than that! Most of our dogs aren't crazy about being in the rain at all so you are lucky to have such a spunky dog.
Hi Gretchen,
Is your Chihuahua the boss? Mine is and she always wants to be first, steal the others cookie or chewy stick and nips at them if they do not do what she wants. The other two weigh 3 times as much as her but she thinks she is bigger and badder that they are.
Hi Wanda,
CoCo and Gidget both love the water and especially in the heat but my chihuahua wants nothing to do with water. When we all go swimming and boogie boarding, she hides on the side of the house hoping I won't find her but her little white body stands out. Once I get her on the board, she likes it.
Kristin,
Congratulations. Your post is now featured in "Silent Saturday." :)
Steve
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the honor of being featured in your group "Silent Saturday". Have a great week and I hope the storm has passed you by.
Kristin,
You're welcome, and the storm finally did pass by but not without some wind and rain. :)
Steve
Hi Steve,
I am sure you are used to the storms every year but it still can be scary and cause damage. It doesn't seem like it lasted as long or as strong as some of them. Thank Goodness. Have a wonderful weekend.
Kristin,
Tropical storms are tricky. They can move slowly as this one did and really produce a lot of rain along with the steady wind - or move quickly and just give a little rain and some wind. Nothing like a hurricane though. :)
Steve
Hi Steve,
I heard last night that over 3 million people on the Atlantic seaboard are without power. So horrible and strange that Edison cannot fix and reroute the lines faster.
Glad the danger has passed you by now and have a great Sunday.
I love watching dogs play in water! Always makes me smile. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Debi,
Love your photo with your dog. I bet your dog is a water dog too. My Gidget is a wired hair terrier and like water but my other two are Chihuahua and Chihuahua mix so they are not too interested in playing in the water but they do like to float on the boogie board in our pool.
