Sunday 06/24/12 Shot of the Day in Atlantis, Florida
Back at our nature reserve I call the back yard. I witnessed something going on that got my attention. Walking by our 12’ slider, I saw this spraying of dirt on the other side of the bank. This of course is separated by a canal of the two properties.
Upon closer investigation. I noticed the water turtle burying her eggs. As I quietly and cautiously walked as close (some 100’ away) as I could she noticed me and immediately slid down the bank back into the water.
Perhaps a movie camera would have been better suited?
