Selling Your Connecticut House? Update, Lighten & Brighten!
If you are preparing your house for the market, now is a good time to consider your light fixtures. Do they provide enough light? Are they in good condition or do they need to be replaced? Are they updated in a current style and finish that will appeal to your target buyer?
A professional Home Stager can guide you, and provide you with on-target suggestions for appropriate replacement fixtures that will not only update the look, but amplify the light, if needed.
This condo in Heritage Village, Southbury CT, needed just a few touches to get it ready for the market: fresh paint in the bedrooms and baths, removal of window treatments, and new sconces in the Dining Room:
These faux alabaster sconces only held one light bulb each, and had been touched up with paint.
Nestings selected these sconces, in a transitional style with oil-rubbed bronze finish. Perfect for a "Contemporary High Country" look, they tie in the adjacent kitchen hardware. We love the sparkle of the crystal balls, and the fact that each sconce holds two bulbs, doubling the light!
In addition to changing out the sconces and removing the blinds, we added a chrome-and-glass server, streamlined upholstered dining chairs, and an appropriately scaled rustic dining table. The stunning painting is by the seller. More about her later...
