300,000 Points on ActiveRain.....Special Day for Me

Today is a special day as I just passed my 300,000 points on ActiveRain. I just want to say I appreciate and respect ActiveRain and all the members who make it so special.

Milestone: I am very excited as I have just passed one of my major milestones; 300,000 points on ActiveRain. And by doing so, it made me think about what ActiveRain means to me.

Making Friends: I enjoy getting up early every morning and reading other peoples posts and enjoy reading the messages left on my posts as well. Someone once said “It is like getting Christmas cards every day of the year” and they are so right. I have many friends I have met on ActiveRain from all over the US and Canada. Most of us communicate daily or at least every few days. It is such a great place to meet new friends too.

Sharing Ideas and Knowledge: We are a social network but we are not like FB. Instead we are all professionals (Realtors, Stagers, Lenders, Home Inspectors, Title/Escrow Reps, Trainers, Photographers, Software & Web Designers, etc) that pretty much center on real estate. So every day we share new ideas we have found to make our lives easier, make our business run smoother, and to get our name higher up on the Google board.

Photo-blogging: Many of us like to take pictures of nature, our pets, our family plus people and places in our communities. I am a real animal and nature lover so in my spare time, I like to take pictures and post them. I strive to produce better quality pictures by learning new techniques and purchasing newer equipment.

Advertising: What better place to advertise than on ActiveRain. The AR network works hard to keep our posting high up on the Google pages. You have a better chance of potential buyers seeing your post. And let’s face it we are advertising ourselves so AR gives us the means and knowledge to do this efficiently.

Points System: Everyone says it is not important to worry about points or to strive to go higher on the state boards but I am very competitive. By moving up on the California list of Realtors, I am fulfilling one of my goals. We earn points by 1) Posting daily on our AR Blog 2) Re-blogging other member’s posts, 3) Contests, 4) Leaving Comments on member’s posts, 3) Inviting others to Join our Network,   6) And finally by getting featured posts.

Becoming a Better Realtor: By being more aware of what is going on around me, I am a better agent and have become more aware of people’s feelings; both clients and friends. My computer skills have improved greatly as well. Plus I learn what works, what doesn’t and new ideas to try. With over 210,000 members, we have such a wealth of knowledge to share. I have also become a more interesting writer and more creative plus feeling good about myself makes me a better all round person.

Weltanschauung: I love this word and it sums up what ActiveRain is all about. One guiding principles is that ActiveRain believes home ownership is a positive force for social good and is committed to empowering real estate professionals so they can help people achieve the dream of home ownership. I am a member of ActiveRain and I support their theory.

Activerain's dream is my dream! I look forward to the next 100,000 points ahead. Thanks to ActiveRain staff too as they are such a big reason the site is so professional and continues to grow. Thanks Kerrie and Bob for all your help and support.
