Crownsville Market Report- May 2012


Crownsville offers a variety of homes and lifestyle. From waterfront, water access, estate homes and everything in between, Crownsville is a great area to call home. And it is conveniently located for heading to Annapolis, a quick trip to Rt 97 towards Baltimore and even Washington DC is easily obtainable.

So what is going on in the Crownsville marketplace? Sales in May climbed upward AND are up from May a year ago by 36%!!   Properties under contract dipped slightly but available inventory stayed the same. Short Sales and Foreclosures are still holding on the low end with those under contract remaining the same. 7 out of 14 home sellers paid closing assistance to the buyer. Amounts ranged from a low of $7,920 to a high of $20,000. Days on market is continuing to decrease with a high of 168 this month compare to a high of 276 last month. Home sellers, on average, are receiving 93.4% of their asking price. 

So what does this mean for the Crownsville homeowner? It would still be in your best interest to be priced right and in show condition to sell your Crownsville home.
