Zwaanendael Museum, Lewes, Delaware

Lewes, Delaware was the first town settled in Delaware. It was settled by the Dutch. The Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes has Dutch pottery and items from ships on display. There is a very nice Tulip Festival in May featuring the museum and the many restaurants in the town.

Roy - thanks for sharing. Tulips are my favorite. Nice to learn something about the first settled town in Delaware.

Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes, Delaware sounds like a place to visit and learn about the Dutch.  Tulips are beautiful and I guess that Lewes has many for the tulip festival.

Thank you Roy for reblogging my post about Lewes, Delaware. Our daughter works part time in Disney World and has Lewes, DE on her name tag as her hometown while working there. It prompts many friendly conversations.
