31 Comments on Clean Out Your Car and Clean Off Your Desk - First Impressions Do Count
Hello Louise and some great times ... Clean Car, "Bonus" and featured at ...
LATE NIGHT - EARLY MORNING AT ACTIVERAIN
You are right on. First impressions with a client does make a difference.
Great post...made me get up and deal with that desk!
Louise~ My office desk is tidy except for when I'm working on it. At the end of the day, it's empty. My home office desk is quite another story, but no one ever sees that. When my desk is a mess, I feel disorganized and that's really the point, right? You just added to my to-do list!
Hmmm... this post reminds me. I need to clean off the top of my desk. Now... I will just write myself a note as a reminder, and leave it right on my desk top so I will see it. Uh huh. LOL.
Yikes... where did my desk go ? It was right here just a minute ago. Darn.
Reminds me reading it somewhere. . some interviewing the top 15 CEOs for a magazine. . not one single messy desk. .on the contrary, it looked like no one worked there!
yet they were running multi billion dollar companies between all of them
I have a hard time grasping the concept you may be disorganized in any way Lousie. .I'm planning a trip to see the Saints sometime this year and may just drop by. .just to check your desk! lol
A - thanks for dropping by! You are right - later is sooner than we think!
Hey Bob - thanks for the feature! You are the BEST!
Edward and Celia - thanks for your comments - they DO make a difference!
Organized desk not only makes a good impression with clients...it gives you peace of mind too. Having a messy desk will increase your stress. I've had many clients who wanted a consult on organizing their office....stagers aren't just for homes!
Karen Anne - LOL! I feel the same way!
Donna - when my desk is cluttered I can't think straight! Sometimes I have to just stop and do something!
Li - I'm glad I inspired you!
Fernando - LOL! You will probably find my desk in disarray!
Sharon -you made a good point! We need to "stage" our offices - wow - that is a thought! You would do a terrific job of that - maybe a post?
Nick - I am the same way - I am certainly not naturally organized - it is something I work on CONSTANTLY!
Louise,
I suggested your blog as you make several excellent points all of us need to apt attention to when clients are involved. I would also add admit when you do not know the answer to their question but tell them you will ytu to find out.
Thanks for the suggest, Bob - and the comment!
Thanks Louise, this has been on my list for some time now, would you like to practice on my desk before starting your desk cleaning project.
LOL, Bob!
Louise, great tips. I agree that no one is impressed by clutter, disorder and messiness. Being organized helps save time and creates a great first impression. Having said that, my car needs a good clean out!!! Thanks for sharing.
